The grilled sting ray was the best I had a while. It was perfectly fried, juicy, succulent and not greasy. The chilli sauce was perfect with it.

The salted egg tofu was another must order. It was light and fluffy and full of the salted egg taste without being salty or oily.

I reached about 6 plus and the crowd grew as it got later. The limited tables plus the number of orders for takeaway meant those came later had to wait quite a while.

There were some other notable dishes that I hadn't tried, e.g. Claypot Rice Wine Talapia, Claypot Herbal Talapia, Kung Pow Mantis Prawn and other types of grilled fish.

Salted Egg Mantis Prawn was flavourful with sufficient salted egg flavour that is just right couple with crispy outer crust and soft meat inside. Signature Kangkung in claypot should be bland vs the common Kangkung belacan sold in other restaurants but surprisingly they can make it tasty in a way that bring out the vege original flavour. Signature stingray is nicely cooked as well, it's not overloaded with spices, just nicely spiced with crispy surface and medium soft meat; good thing is that the stingray parts is big so you get a chunk full of flesh without struggling with fragile bones. By coincidentally found this place, while driving through this road. Saw the sign Grilled fish, caught my attention. Me, my wife and our son walked into the shop and was friendly greeted by the boss. So we went on ordering our dinner and we asked for the recommendations. Seriously, the grilled stingray, calypot water spinach, Claypole lala soup and the grilled squid was all spot on.
