Restoran Tropical Garden — Restaurant in Taman Tropika

Visited Tropical Garden Restaurant, Kulai for the first time on 5 August 2023, Sat, as it was our first visit to Kulai.

Not only did we have a sumptuous meal there, we had one of the best hospitality we've experienced in a long time.

We tried the Assam fish and it was so flavourful and tasty. We also had the stir fried brinjal with dried shrimps. The eggplant was deep fried first before being stir fried with cripsy dried shrimps, hence, there's a light cripsy layer on the eggplant. There were tiny bits of pork lard in there as well, that made the dish fragrant and layered with textures. We also had the signature crispy roasted chicken, which had some slight tangy sauce at the bottom with cashew nuts.

The star of the entire experience at the restaurant was the warm, friendly, chatty and service oriented motherly staff that took our order and served us. She gave us suggestions and assistance not only for our orders, but even when we asked for directions to our next location.

When I jokingly asked if I could have more of the crackers, she very happily obliged and brought me more crackers! When she saw that we were taking pictures immensely, she came over and saw that there was no nice deco on the chicken and said that she'll bring it back to the kitchen to put on some nice deco so that we could have nice pics. And off she went, hurriedly to put on some greens and a pink flower for the chicken. It was really really kind and sweet of her.

First time here. Because of striving, on the way back to KL from JB, simply turn into a place to settle the dinner.

Out of nowhere, I was attracted by the lighting of this restaurant, because surrounding area shop lots closed.

I ordered salad prawn, sweet sour pork rib and Brinjal which are considered popular here. End up tasteless, the taste are out of expectations not to mention about the decorations.

Complainted to the captain, end up a lot of excuses , including the recipes are designed for public and lack of time for deco etc.

Besides, the price is not cheap. It is like you eat food court liked food and pay for 5 star...
