Stayed here with family of 14pax and rented 4 of the chalets (chalets 1,2,3 and 4) Juara Ocean 2 aka Qaisara chalet.. this was the time of a long week holiday post COVID. |I must admit these chalets were not my first choice in my list. Most chalets in Tioman were fully booked that time.|But retrospectively, I am really glad I booked these chalets. ||It’s not a 5star hotel, please don’t expect expensive furnitures, fancy toiletries etc.||However, Qaisara chalet exceeds my expectations in comparison to the price I paid. What it lacks on expensive stuffs, are very much compensated with the excellent services and warm hospitality they provide.||The staffs especially the owner Mr Kelly and Mdm May excelled on hospitality. Calling me by name, courteous , polite and very helpful.|Able to plan a surprise birthday party and also took the extra mile to suggest where to shoot nice insta-worthy pictures, spot where we can see river flowing into the sea.. sunrise etc..||The rooms are very cosy with basic amnesties and air conditioned. Only Chalet no 3 had just fans but the price for Chalet 3 was significantly cheaper. |The toilets are clean with water heater and seating toilet.|Each chalet have their own covered airy space to enjoy the evening privately with some chairs. Chalet 1 had a hammock. The space in Chalet 1 and 2 are good enough for a small family of 4-5pax to enjoy board games privately .||Qaisara also have their own food restaurant for breakfast, tea and dinner overlooking the Juara beach just opposite the chalets. Menus are BBQ, Thai , western and local cuisine. |If you don’t fancy what’s in the menu, you can always discuss with the owner May, what u wanted for example, she kindly cooked me a suitable meal for my high protein low calorie diet.. kids friendly meal etc..|Some of the tables are on the beach itself and can be booked for candlelight dinners or party.||As for travelling arrangements, their price for 4WD was very competitive. They gave us clear instruction on where to meet the driver although we don’t actually need it because we can clearly see the Placard just after the jetty’s bridge.||For water activities, their shop is just next to the restaurant, managed to rent their life jackets for the little ones at a very good price if we just want the extra safety when swimming in the sea.|We chartered a private boat for snorkelling trip. The boatmen Apit and Tommy were very capable, friendly and did not rush us at all.. |We felt safe in their hands and they are also friendly with the kids too..|Qaisara chalet also able to cater for packed lunch for picnic during snorkelling and goes the extra mile for picnic mat.||The chalets pictures provided by the management doesn’t do justice for what they actually are.. The rooms are actually bigger with some outdoor spaces.. whilst there is no wardrobes, there are ample space to hang your clothes. |Since qaisara only have 5 small chalets, the beach is more private compared to the densely packed starred hotels nearby 😍||For a holiday filled with beautiful nature and warm human hospitality .. I truly recommend...
Read moreJuara Ocean chalets consists of one large beach front chalet with two smaller chalets above them and three large garden view chalets. We stayed initially in one of the first floor chalets and then one night in a garden view chalet. The chalets are as you expect wooden style structures but are clean with very comfortable beds and good bed linen. They have fans and aircon which works well, a small fridge, kettle and comfortable outside chairs. They have new TV’s with Netflix; the WiFi is also very good and works in all the chalets. The beach front chalets have a wonderful view and are literally on the beach. The two upstairs chalets also have a hammock so you can chill whilst looking at the view. |They chalets are run by May who is a lovely lady, very friendly and helpful. May will help you with organising trips, on going travel and also local advice; she is very responsive to WhatsApp messages. |The family also run Juara Ocean Restaurant and cafe which is situated at the other end of the beach, approximately 20minutes walk away. The restaurant is excellent. There are also other restaurants and a few small shops nearby. |We enjoyed our time at Juara Ocean chalets so much that we extended our trip. We will...

Food was good and reasonably priced especially when it is an island destination. I was on Tioman for 3 nights and I ate here every night. Nice view of the beach and bay. No sunset view as the restaurant faces east.
In fact, it's somewhat cheaper than mainland. I would recommend sotong goreng tepung. We had this every night. Fresh and tasty squid. Another recommendation is Siakap 3 Rasa.
The owner is a very friendly chap and he goes around taking and delivering orders from customers.
The place can be busy at dinner time and service may slow down a bit. I'd advise dropping by before 7 pm. There are 2 low tables on the sand if you'd wish to feel the cool sand. There may be sand mites but I didn't get bitten.
He also provides snorkeling trip and I booked mine with him. His own boat and he doesn't overload his boat. In fact, we were out much longer than the other boats. No rush.
The map location of the restaurant is somewhat joined with the accommodation. The restaurant is slightly South of the pier.
Restaurant was opened about 2 months ago in end March /...
