Came here for dinner during our stay at anantara…. Overall the experience was not exceptional! I was really hoping the food would be more flavourful! We had the aburi sushi and the wagyu sushi.. both were okay! As a main, we had the salmon and the noodles .. they were average! The lobster was probably the best thing we tried… it was fresh and flavourful. For dessert we had the custard and it was below average! The waiters were attentive and kind. Interestingly, the chef came and greeted literally everyone dining at the time except for us… I guess because we aren’t western he just spared himself the visit lol guess what? We are restaurant reviewers so maybe watch out next time ;)

This restaurant is located at Anantara Veli Maldives Resort. You can enjoy live teppanyaki chefs slicing and dicing here while gazing at the stars if you choose to sit in the out door sitting area of the restaurant. Enjoy fresh sashimi, sushi creations, highlighting freshly caught local catches of yellowfin. Hokkaido scallops, seabass garnished with yuzu, truffle oil and salmon roe are recommended. Choose a teppanyaki menu of Wagyu beef and Alaskan king crab which is sliced, diced, sizzled for an enjoyable evening. This restaurant has complimentary wifi.

The salad was fantastic if you are like me and you like salads I would highly recommend you try it out. We tried so many maki rolls our favorite was spider, volcano and California maki. So good the mochi is amazing too

Well let me tell you, I was not satisfied with the way my night went in this restaurant. I felt like I was being ripped off, because most of the sushi and sashimi was the the same that we got from the complimentary buffet and I find that extremely disappointing. My mother almost cried from eating a frozen, and we’re lucky she didn’t throw up. Furthermore, there was not one piece of vegetable on my plate when the majority of my family got beef as a main food, like seriously, do you want me to have a stroke? I’m being brutally honest, but I make better sushi than you guys I’m sorry people. Not to mention the lamb was stinky, and not well seasoned which made it very hard to swallow with the unpleasant smell fusing into my nose. There were tears falling because it was so hard to swallow down. I hope you take this comment and realise how expensive this restaurant is and how overrated your restaurant is because overall no one was able to come up to you guys and criticise you. Because of this meal, I am...
