Shallow Lagoon Restaurant — Restaurant in North Ari Atoll

I recently dined at Shallow Lagoon Rasdhoo and overall, I had a positive experience. One of the highlights of my visit was the breakfast, which was probably the best on Rasdhoo island. The selection of food was impressive, and everything tasted fresh and delicious. Additionally, the cappuccino was good enough to satisfy my coffee craving.

During the evening buffet, the fish dishes were particularly tasty and I enjoyed trying the different varieties available. The staff were also very kind and attentive, which added to the overall positive dining experience.

However, there were a couple of minor drawbacks that I noticed. Not all of the food on the menu looked as it did in the pictures, which was a little disappointing. Additionally, not all of the food listed on the menu was actually available, which was a bit frustrating.

Overall, I would still recommend Shallow Lagoon Rasdhoo for its fantastic breakfasts, tasty fish dishes, and kind staff. Just be aware that some items on the menu may not look exactly as pictured, and not everything listed may...

During our stay on Rashdoo Island in the Maldives, we frequently visited Shallow Lagoon Restaurant.

The restaurant is slightly away from the beach, but despite its popularity, we always found a spot where we could relax and cool off. The atmosphere of the place, with sand on the floor, truly made us feel like we were on a tropical island.

We mainly tried dishes from Maldivian and Indian cuisine, recommended by the lovely ladies working there. Every dish they suggested was delicious. We were impressed by the excellent choice of spices, fresh ingredients, and the wide variety of options. It was, without a doubt, the tastiest food we had in the Maldives (having visited six other islands).

We truly appreciated the efforts of the women who worked there; they moved around like a well-oiled machine. They spoke excellent English, helped us with choosing our meals, and were always patient and professional.

We came to look for a lunch and arrived asking if they were open and they said they were. They came to ask for drink order and left before I had told all the drinks we wanted. After I asked if I could order foods as well the waitress came back. They didn't have burgers available so we needed to choose something else. After 15mins waitress told us that kitchen was busy, even that there was only 2 person + two of us in the restaurant. She said we wouldn't get our ordered foods that only option would be to eat the buffet that would be ready in 45mins. In this time we all ready had our drinks in the table and a little rush. We knew that we didn't have time to go elsewhere so we waited for the buffet. Food there wasn't more than okay.
