Listen, the food was great but I was super disappointed when I came to this place. I had originally booked to club sushi at St. Julian's but I saw that they don't offer the Korean BBQ. I then rebooked to the one attard and I made sure to click on booking button on the site right below the section about Korean BBQ. There's no field to choose that you want Korean BBQ, but when I arrived the person at the shop told me I had to let them know prior.
We thought ok, we've already made the journey, let's stay for a meal. One of the big reasons I wanted to get the Korean bbq is because one of the people in our party didn't eat sushi. I for one tried the sushi and that was really good. The quality of the salmon was great, however our options were cut in half because they had no tuna. The rest of the food was ok at best, not really anything good. I wouldn't say it was bad but I would had expected more from a restaurant.
The service was pretty bad. The restaurant wasn't particularly full but even then it took forever to get our meals and even things as basic as getting forks when asked took over 20 minutes. It's almost comical how slow the service was on a Tuesday night. It didn't help that despite having had reservation we got a table in a corner of the restaurant outside of every workers view so we couldn't get any service in a timely manner, so much so we actually had to get up to get the waiters attention.
Overall, despite having enjoyed the Sushi, I don't think I'd be...
Read moreSuper sorry for choosing this place for dinner on Valentine's Day! Little variety of sushi, all similar, without creativity. 1 hour to receive the starter dish and 30 more minutes for the main dish. The sushi was rubbery and did not seem fresh. When they brought the drink they did not put napkins. When they brought the appetizer we began to eat with our hands because only minutes later they brought the napkins and plates. The atmosphere was super cold so we couldn't take off our coats all night. The female bathroom was without paper and the male bathroom had loose ceramics as if they were working on it. Even the return when paying was brought wrong. The employees clearly had no experience whatsoever. I went for a recommendation to know but I would not return...
Read moreMy friends and I wanted to try out Korean BBQ, so we booked this place.
You can only have the BBQ outside. There are tents and heaters, but you will still feel a little chill in winter.
The lighting is a little lacking. We had to use our torches to check on the meat being cooked until the waiters kindly brought us some small electric lanterns.
7 out of 8 of us had Beef Bulgogi, of which the presentation and taste did leave a bit to desire.
The Beef Bulgogi set consisted of beef (300g), rice, and some vegetables for about 25 euro. Any extra portion was about 13 or 14 euro.
Overall, it was a unique experience, but we likely would not go again.
If you have never had Korean BBQ, I would suggest trying it once, although this one can do with some...
