Amazing food, drinks, and friendly staff, all in a prime location in Birzebbuga. This gem is not to be missed! Andres waited on my table, and his recommendations were spot on. I had the “Polipo Grigliato,” which was perfectly char-grilled—crispy on the outside and incredibly tender inside. Easily the best octopus I’ve ever tasted. Be sure to try the cocktails, too. Their bartender, Juan Pablo, is a magician! I had the “Refreshing Tropic,” one of their signature drinks, and it was the perfect choice for a warm, sunny day. They also offer mocktail options, which is a nice touch.

I sat outside, and the view of the sea was lovely, though the nearby bus stop made it a bit noisy. One thing to note is that the restaurant doesn’t seem wheelchair accessible, as you have to take stairs to reach it. Despite that, I had an amazing experience and will definitely be...

I had a look at the menu beforehand. I was happy to note two interesting vegetarian options the pasta verde and the cauliflower steak.

Being that both my sisters do not eat meat I thought that this was a good place to try out however both these dishes were out of stock!

The only thing that was offered to them was the past verde without the Burrata. The dish without its star ingredient fell flat and we were still charged full price for the dish.

Staff were sweet, friendly and polite however still very much green. Confused at times.

Other food was delicious we tried the black risotto tomahawk and grilled fish. Brownie was excellent too!

With regard the above, unfortunately, I will have to think twice before coming again.

Before writing this review I sent an email regarding the shortcomings during our visit but...

We went to ristorante COVO a couple of times already and always thought it was a fantastic dining experience in Birżebbuġia! The interiors are tasteful and setup a great atmosphere, with a beautiful seaside view. They’ve got a beautiful inside and an outside balcony option. The menu has a good variety of Mediterranean dishes, and every item we ordered was fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented.

Bartender made us some super cocktails and the staff was friendly and attentive. I loved the seafood options— and the T-Bone steak which we shared, cooked to perfection with a blend of creativity from the chef. The wine selection was also great.

Overall, I’d say, COVO Restaurant is a pretty place to enjoy great food in a relaxed and scenic setting. We’ll...
