What a gem of a place. Undoubtedly the best place to eat out in Birzebbuga by far. First, the owners, absolutely amazing people who take care of you as soon as you step in the place. Bjorn, the owner, interacts with you, recommending various food offerings etc, tgen there’s his mother, a very lovely lady, and also his beautiful wife who is also chef. The place is quite small, so booking is probably a must especially for Saturday evenings and Sunday lunches. All the food we ordered, from the starters, mains and desert was just perfect. Also, probably the only restaurant that serves real chips, not frozen stuff, traditional cut potatoes and fried. Prices are very reasonable, the view from window tables is beautiful, opening up to St George’s bay. Just one recommendation, get rid of the paper napkins. Will certainly be back and highly recommend.

Dar Is-Sajjied was such a pleasant surprise to find! I had the pleasure of speaking with most of the staff. Humble, friendly and passionate about their work; Dar Is-Sajjied’s service was definitely something to write home about. And in case you’re wondering about the food, I took the Tagliatelle with Truffle Sauce and Parmigiana, and the Duck Croquettes. My parents too the fish platter, and all three of us were impressed with the quality of the food and the high standard of the service. This quaint restaurant is a hidden gem in the south of Malta, and I couldn’t recommend it enough. I’ll definitely be back. 👏

We spent some time choosing a place to try fresh Maltese seafood and I couldn't expect anything better than this small family inconspicuous restaurant :) I already had the opportunity to try oysters and shells but those at Is-Sajjied really drove me into my chair, the main dish - the selection of fresh fish of any weight and kind was also excellent. The whole was completed by the local wine chosen with the help of great and cordial service and tasting of local tinctures (especially amaretto and cactus) whose taste and smell made you dizzy. I recommend with all my heart :)

I recently had the privilege of dining at Dar is-Sajjied, a family-run restaurant in Birzebbugia that exceeded all my expectations. With its emphasis on fresh fish and seafood, this culinary gem truly stood out, providing an exceptional dining experience that will forever remain etched in my memory.

From the moment I stepped through the doors of Dar is-Sajjied, I was warmly welcomed into a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The friendly staff immediately made me feel like a cherished guest, and their genuine hospitality created a sense of belonging.

Now, let's talk about the star of the show: the food. Dar is-Sajjied's commitment to using only the freshest fish and seafood was evident in every dish. From the moment I tasted the first bite, I knew I was in for something extraordinary. The menu included classic seafood favourites to innovative creations that delighted the palate. The chef's skill (who is one of the owners) and passion were evident in the impeccable presentation and harmonious flavours of each dish.

One aspect that sets Dar is-Sajjied apart is the exceptional value for money it offers. Despite the exceptional quality of the food, the prices were incredibly reasonable, making it accessible to all diners. The generous portion sizes ensured that every dish was not only satisfying but also a fantastic deal. It's truly a testament to the restaurant's dedication to providing an extraordinary dining experience without breaking the bank.

In addition to the outstanding food and value, the service at Dar is-Sajjied was second to none. The attentive and knowledgeable staff catered to every need, ensuring that every guest felt pampered and well taken care of. Their passion for what they do was evident in their friendly demeanor and their willingness to go above and beyond to make the dining experience exceptional.

Dar is-Sajjied's connection to the local community and commitment to sustainability further adds to its allure. The restaurant's dedication to sourcing seafood locally not only supports the local fishermen and suppliers but also ensures that diners can indulge in the freshest and most ethically sourced seafood.

In conclusion, Dar is-Sajjied is a true haven for seafood lovers seeking an unparalleled dining experience. With its emphasis on fresh fish and seafood, unbeatable value for money, and sincere hospitality, this family-run restaurant has carved a special place in the hearts of locals and visitors alike. I wholeheartedly recommend Dar is-Sajjied to anyone in search of outstanding cuisine, a warm and inviting atmosphere, and an exceptional dining experience that will leave a lasting impression.
