Talbot & Bons — Restaurant in Luqa

My first experience at Talbot & Bons was not what I expected. I went out with some friends for a meal and chose Talbot & Bons because it was quite central to all of us. However , we were all disappointed by the size of the servings. It was only afterwards that i learnt that T&B are renowned for snacks and "nibbles" and foreign beers than for family eating. In that context, Talbot & Bons provide an ideal outlet especially for business personnel taking a break and enjoying a light meal with a pleasant drink in an atmosphere that is truly relaxing. It is also ideal for romantic encounters. Moreover, the staff appear to have been specially trained or selected for positive client communication because they were extremely courteous and helpful.

My initial reaction was to write a negative review about Talbot & Bons because i was disappointed with the portions and it was published before I could withdraw it. It is only fair to point out that though the portions were not what I expected , the quality was excellent.

The management contacted me directly they learnt about my complaint and have explained their operational policy which I can understand since it appears to have been enthusiastically received by many other clients. I considered this courtesy to deserve proper recognition and realise that a direct complaint to the management would have been fairer than a negative review written in anger. I will therefore definitely find time to revisit Talbot & Bons to explore their selection of gastronomic offers on an occasion when stimulating my taste buds has priority over...

Today at lunch time the place seemed to be understaffed. The person behind the cash taking our order had to put 2 plates with foods down to take our orders. Outside tables and the floor around them were dirty. I had to actually clear plates and filled ashtry from one table to another. My not heated enough order came quite swiftly and would have been placed on the not even wiped over table, had I not requested it to be done. My friend's ketchup looking bland tomatoe sauced ravioli were still hard from the inside. No attempt was made to have this rectified due to the long wait we had had to receive this half reheated ungarnished 'food'. Staff courtesy and customer service also need much to b desired! Good evening. We visited the Talbot Bons restaurant tonight. We ordered fresh fish and grilled meat. Everything was delicious. Service at a high level. Very friendly girls worked, who helped us decide on the choice of dishes. The atmosphere and design of the restaurant is very cozy. But unfortunately this evening was spoiled by the visitors at the table next to us. The children behaved like Mowgli, constantly yelling. And at the end of the evening, this family turned the restaurant into a bed for their children. The staff kindly changed the table for us and made a remark to them.
