To begin with: I barely ever write reviews. Only if it's incredibly good, or horribly bad. This one is a case of the latter.
Can't say anything about atmosphere or service cause we've been just walking by the place for the past last couple of days. 3 stars for both of it therefore, benefit of the doubt.
However, we did decide to order food today and got it delivered - distance of like 500m, but couldn't be bothered to get out into the heat again. Only mentioning this so the delivery can't be blamed for anything.
Mrs had the Linguini a la Vongole. She enjoyed them, they actually tasted decent and looked somewhat freshly made indeed.
I had the Angus Beef Burger minus the accompanying cole slaw. It was the single most horrible burger I've had in my entire live. If you remember the cheap supermarket microwave burgers from back in the days with the fancy boxes around it - same concept, just worse. Those patties were a 101% frozen and microwaved. Obviously not freshly made. Can't say if it was Angus or not, cause neither was there a taste nor a texture to decide that upon. Likely not tho, as one can imagine.
It didn't have to be a big deal (the frozen and re-heated part of it), if it would still have tasted somewhat decent-ish at least. But sadly it did not.
The burger costs 15.60€ - talking about wholesale on Malta, the incredients are probably cost 3€ total a burger. The worth of it, taste-wise, isn't even 1.50€.
I get that it's a relatively cheap place and what to expect with it, therefore. But there are many other places like this around not only in Malta, but in Marsascala itself. And their food you don't wanna throw over the balcony and straight into the ocean. If it wasn't for the poor fish suffocating on it, that is.
Both the mozzarella sticks and the onions rings were frozen and heated up again as well. No problem with that, just pay a bit more to get some higher quality products. 2/5 for them.
The fries were soggy and completely tasteless, definitely would have needed another couple minutes in the frier. 1/5 for them.
As I said. Can't say anything about the ambiente or service, and the Linguini really were not bad. But that Burger is nothing but a straight our rip-off and can't be described as anything but that. And likely speaks a lot about how they're handling their business.
Shame on you, folks. It doesn't cost much to make a good burger, and doesn't take the best chef as well. But I guess the competition on the very same street made you lazy and not caring anymore cause you're selling other (supermarket quality) food as...
Read moreWe usually always order pizza from here as its our favourite place. However today there was a big hassle with the courier service Bolt and after reordering multiple times from the shop and getting a message of a “technical issue” from bolt and not allowing us to order anything, about 45 minutes or more passed and the order still went through without permission. We still decided to wait for the pizza even though we had already eaten but had to wait more than an hour to find a courier when corner view had finished the pizza a long time ago. I contacted their shop and had the opportunity to talk with a man (didnt get his name) who was very patient, as after waiting for more than an hour we didnt want our food back (it was almost 11pm now). He then passed me with their manager Mr. Josef. He was very understanding, nice and helpful. Thank you for allowing us to refund we really...
Read moreCorner view is our new favourite place in Marsaskala, and we hope to visit it another time! :) The service: waiter Leo and waiter with tattoos on arm and neck (sorry I forgot the name) were really friendly and helpful. Leo recommended us an amazing Maltese wine and the fish of the day which was the tastiest tuna steak ever! We tried some fishes, scampi, pizza, chicken and spaghetti with tomato sauce, everything was really tasty and in a affordable price! Aperol spritz was also good, but our game changer was a bottle of the wine I mentioned before. 🍹...
