Oia Rooftop — Restaurant in Naxxar

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Oia, and I cannot recommend it highly enough. The food was nothing short of superb, with large portions that were more than satisfying. Every bite was divine—the flavors were perfectly balanced, making each dish a true delight. Beyond the exceptional food, the atmosphere was amazing, creating a warm and welcoming ambiance that made the experience even more enjoyable. Best of all, Oia offers incredible value for money. This is a restaurant where quality meets quantity, and I will definitely be returning!

I don't often leave reviews, but this experience was so bad that I felt it would be a disservice to the public not to, in the hopes of helping others avoid it. The food and drinks were terrible. The food was clearly all frozen products, extremely bland, and for the price, a total rip-off. The cocktails were also mediocre. Honestly, I felt like asking for a refund because everything was so far below normal standards. The service was the only thing that wasn't terrible—still not great, but better than everything else, which was really bad. I would compare it to "beach club" food and drinks, but the drinks at most beach clubs are significantly better than what this place offers, and the food at any beach club I've been to in Malta is also levels above anything we ate at Oia.

Heed my warning: don't go unless you want to waste money and have a below-average...

We were shocked by the experience we had today at Oia. We had booked a table for 32 people for a work meal, and a deposit of €10 per person was requested and paid, with the promise that this amount would be deducted from the final bill. However, when the bill arrived, the deposit was not deducted. When we brought this to the waiter’s attention, he admitted it was a mistake and assured us it would be corrected.

However, upon reviewing the bill further, we noticed a mysterious charge for a €198 bottle of wine, which we had not ordered. The waiter again claimed this was another error.

As for the food service, it was completely disorganised. Several people never received their meals, and others had to wait over an hour after everyone else had finished. Bottle of wine took over 45 minutes to arrive.
