The Greenhouse — Restaurant in Swieqi

It's a shame because i think the food and coffee is good...but the service is AWFUL.

A few times i have gone in for coffee and stood at the bar waiting to be served (I'm the only customer at this point). The 2 staff behind the bar don't make eye contact, they chat among themselves and ignore me....i start to wonder if they have noticed me (im right in front of them). Another staff member walks in and shouts "1 espresso please" they smile and begin making an espresso. I lend forward and say "excuse me, i was here first, pleased can i have a cuppucino" the staff behind the bar looks as if i have committed some kind of crime and starts stroppily making my drink. I give her money, she places my change on the counter and looks away without a word (apart from the Italian she was speaking to her colleagues). This didn't only happen once.

I think your staff need some training in...

We were frequent customers to this restaurant but got badly disappointed by the behavior of some new servers as our food didn't come out. The waitress that took our order was new. Cutlery & bread were put on the table but food never came. We were seeing that the staff were leaving one by one as they close at 22:00. We tried to grab the attention of a server as we had placed our order at 21:15. The tall/slim server didn't utter any words and went to the kitchen with the remaining few staff following and coming back after 10 mins with no appology or explanation but said as we were regular customer they were still going to serve us. Food came within a few minutes but still no appology and avoiding to come and check whether all was fine which indeed wasn't as both main course came too salty.

Take care and respect your customers not treat them as numbers. Proper training...

Reasonably priced but inconsistent

This is more of a supermarket cafeteria than a restaurant. Prices are on the average side, however food and service are both extremely inconsistent.

Some of the employees are helpful and friendly while others are abrupt at best. Food quality is also inconsistent. To cite two examples, I bought their Parmigiana on a number of occasions. Sometimes it's really good, but on other occasions, it is drenched in oil. On one particular occasion, there was more oil on the plate than they had on the supermarket shelves!

The pizza quality is also inconsistent. Sometimes it is light and fluffy, while on other occasions it is quite heavy. I also find it irritating that despite my request for extra basil on the Margherita pizza, they seem to find it difficult to give me more than 2-3 leaves!
