No parking. The inside was a bit hot due to the grill and no smoke extractor. There are definitely other better seafood places in mauritius. Locals know better. Got tricked by the so many good reviews from tourists. Personnally i found the prices to be on the high side. Wanted to spend a nice evening out with the family for the new dragon year but ended up having to order 2 large pizzas at Pizza De L'est after we left despite having ordered the seafood platter for 4, 1 grilled chicken,1 grilled lamb and 2 grilled scampis for 8 pers (2 kids incl). One of the lobster was not good (enfariné) but the waiter told us he would have replaced it if told earlier, so that's a good point. Did not get the time to take any pictures of our dishes as we were so hungry. Service a little slow. Only 2 waiters.Else, cosy atmosphere....and nice Koi pond and waterfall. Will not go back.

This place is a cut above the rest on the island, a truly impressive restaurant and venue! Far better than any of the dining you may encounter in your nearby resort. You are seated in a courtyard, where the woodfire burns and the fish are grilled. The owner starts your service by showing you his platter of today’s catches, and you can choose which Fruit de Mer takes your fancy. The grilled fish and chicken were imbued with the brilliant woodfire flavour, better than a grilled fish in Greece. The chicken was insane, i have no idea what he could have done to get that flavour out of a chicken. You also get complimentary garlic bread, toasted on the wood fire. The octopus salad is high recommendable. It’s a tomato and onion Mauritian chutney with finely cut octopus. The experience and atmosphere were superb.

The seafood at this restaurant is outstanding—both the lobster and fish were fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. The quality of the food truly lives up to the restaurant's reputation. However, the service was disappointing. One of the waiters fell short of the professionalism you’d expect from a highly recommended establishment. He rushed through taking our order, left abruptly, and never returned to check if we needed anything or to see how the meal was. Basic details were overlooked, such as replacing napkins or providing water with lemon to clean our hands after eating lobster—a standard courtesy at seafood restaurants. On the positive side, another waiter who wasn't directly assigned to our table was friendly and attentive during brief interactions, which was appreciated.

Unless you are a guest from a fancy resort, skip this place as you will get lower quality service. Me and my spouse reserved a table and were looking forward to get some delicious sea food as described by some reviews. I asked for a whole grilled fish (450 Rs on the menu) and the waiter said he needs to check if it is possible as they have larger fish in stock. Later he displayed just one quite sad fish and said as it is bigger than usual it will cost 850 Rs. It is expensive compared to other places we dined at Mauritius but as there are no many restaurants to choose from around we decided not to stay hungry and ordered the fish and the sea platter for one. The grilled fish that arrived was small compared to fresh grilled fish we had in other places for 450 Rs, more importantly it was completely bitter and not eatable. The platter was also extremely small (1500 Rs) and mostly overcooked, consisting of 2 (!) mussels, 2 shrimp skewers with veggies, 1 very small fish, 1 big prawn, and a half of an extremely small lobster. In between, waiters were jumping around “exclusive” guests that were driven from the four seasons resort showing them variety of fresh fish to choose from. We got the feeling that if you are a customer of the kind that does not open a menu and does not look at prices you will get the best service and freshest products. I ended having only few bites of the fish. The waiter took the fish and did apologise, on the good note we were not charged on it. I think all customers should be treated in the same way, if they have decided to visit the restaurant and spend their money there. We left hungry and with a...

We were a group of 12 adults and waited 1 hour and 20 minutes until first mains arrived. I ordered well done beef. My order was mistaken and another type of dish was served to me. I corrected the waitress and after another 20 minutes waiting, the beef came. Unfortunately it was medium done. Then I rejected it and said that I don't want it cause of the mistake and I don't want anything more(double mistake but still all was fine). I went for a short walk to clear my head. Then when I went back the waitress told me they have cooked it again. I said I don't want to eat it again but she started explaining they have already cooked it and they don't want to let me without eating and the lady started begging me to take it. I agreed to eat it at the end, but it was out of pity and because I wanted the begging and apologies to end faster. Just wanted to share that my order was messed twice and most importantly my opinion was not taken in...

I recently visited this seafood-focused restaurant and had a mixed experience. The service was smooth and attentive, and I really enjoyed the grilled filet o fish it was perfectly cooked and had that good taste you'd usually expect with a good old fresh fillet o fish paired with the warm bread served alongside that was really perfect!.

The Piña Colada was also excellent: refreshing, well-balanced, and tasted like a really good one!

However, I was disappointed by the seafood tagliatelle. For the price (Rs 750), I expected a flavorful, well-balanced dish, but the red sauce overwhelmed everything. The seafood chunks mostly mussels and and fish were completely drenched, making it hard to taste or appreciate them.

It lacked the freshness and complexity I usually get with seafood pasta! :(

Overall, while some items were great, I wouldn’t recommend the tagliatelle. If you’re visiting, stick to the grilled options they're...
