Place is well made but service is very very very poor. Highly understaffed.. not friendly.. not experienced.. no smile while taking orders and very grumpy.. specially the lady Shahnaaz

Even the guy who lifts plates, I asked him tk get onions and chilly on the side he said he is not the right person, so I asked him to call the person and he said he will send someone but 3 times I asked him and no one came

Even asked the lady to get fresh lime soda not sweet, she said you can only get whatever is there on the drinks menu.

Asked for papad because someone at the other restaurant at the hotel mentioned you will get it here however , the lady said no papad here and then when we ordered the Tex mex bhel, it was on a papad cone whchh is funny!

If you want to have Indian food, you need to cater to good service, we didn’t ask for anything out of the way.

• Outstanding food and personal service at the Veda Indian restaurant at the Intercontinental Resort Mauritius. A huge thanks to Sous Chef Tikan Swain for ensuring our meal was truly Michelin star standard ( taste, quality, presentation and innovative modern Indian cuisine). Of course a special mention to the Executive Sous Chef, Himanshu Pareek at the hotel. Himanshu not only ensured we dined well at Veda but also at Nobel House restaurant where a young Nepali Sous Chef is creating wonderful dishes ( try the sweet and sour fish) and the Segala Mediterranean inspired restaurant.

We have been spoilt for culinary choice for two weeks.
