Maison de Thé is a delightful spot that I would highly recommend to anyone who enjoys delicious food, warm service, and of course, premium tea. The atmosphere is vibrant yet cozy, with soft pink and teal chairs, warm wooden accents, and a beautiful floral ceiling décor that makes the place feel very inviting. It’s also centrally located in Telfair with ample parking, making it easy to access. The service was excellent from the moment we arrived. The lady at the counter was very friendly and guided us through the different tea options. She even let us smell the blends and asked about our preferences, whether we leaned more towards milk tea or not, before making suggestions. This thoughtful approach really stood out and made the experience more personal. We ordered jasmine tea, pistachio cake, and cheesecake. The jasmine tea was light, aromatic, and refreshing. The pistachio cake was moist, flavorful, and not overly sweet, while the cheesecake was rich, creamy, and perfectly balanced. The waiting time was short, and everything was served beautifully, with attention to detail. If you’re a tea lover, this is definitely a must-visit. The premium tea selection and the original way it’s served make Maison de Thé a unique and memorable experience. I will definitely...
Read moreMaison de Thé is located in Moka Telfair, which has become quite a lively spot nowadays. I had the opportunity to go there for dinner and, of course, for dessert. It was a must to try their different varieties of tea, which are served in a vintage teapot that gives a very fairy-like charm to the experience. Being a tea lover, I truly appreciated how tasty and fresh the tea was. The prices are also quite interesting.
For the mains, we tried their specialty of the night: chicken katsu with flat tagliatelle and a gratin de fruits de mer. While the tagliatelle was definitely a big yes for me, the gratin was a disappointment. It was slightly over-flamed on top and felt more like cream than an actual seafood gratin, lacking the seafood richness I was expecting.
As for dessert, I wasn’t too happy either—it wasn’t fondant and lacked flavor. I really hope they can work on improving their desserts.
Overall, I would strongly recommend Maison de Thé for their tea and main courses, especially if you enjoy a cozy and charming atmosphere. The decoration is lovely, and it’s a very nice place to sit and relax. I hope you all enjoy it as...
Read moreCame here as a bridal party for Afternoon Tea (high tea) and we were not disappointed! This little gem was amazing, staff were really friendly and approachable and did everything to accommodate our group of 9. They even closed a little later on a Sunday to ensure we captured all our photos which we really appreciated. We had a few ladies that were vegetarian and they made sure to provide the vegetarian options as well. The cakes and sandwiches are really delicious. The scones were a bit dense and hard unfortunately and it was served with some sort of custard and jam rather than the traditional clotted cream and jam. We also ordered the orange rooibos, vanilla, butterfly pea, all of which were fantastic. Highly recommend and will...
