A very bad experience at Macdonalds today, I went there to get take away. I placed my order at 3.06pm and got my order at 3.32pm, do you think this is an acceptable time to waiting for fast food? Receipt attached below. This is one of the unacceptable parts of the experience today. Another unacceptable part of today's experience was the first chinese girls in the red tshirt saying that my order will be 5mins but then when I went up to the counter after 5 mins was over, another chinese girl in a grey tshirt said its going to be longer than 10minutes but could be longer as the angus machines is not working and we don't know how long it will take....and when I asked what I should do, offered to cancel or change my order. Is this how you handle customers? Offer to cancel their order? Then when I complained saying its crazy if you can't tell me when my order will be ready, then I was passed to Alvi to assist me. Alvi also paused not knowing what to do? Then suggested she check with the techincian to see how long it will take but not giving me any assurances. It was a dissapointing customer service experience as even though I got my food so late there was no compensation for having to get upset and wait not know what was taking so long to know if I will infact get my order or not. Or that I can be assured that they knew what they were doing, which in this case they did not. I am looking for compensation for this...
Read moreOn 24 May 2022, about 8:20a.m., i ordered McDonald breakfast and asked the staff to use my own tumbler cup for my drink. She however responded with "We are very busy right now and it'll confuse us which one your order is." I looked at the order screen, and there were only 5 orders. There was no crowd, and the staff inside was not rushing at all. I asked the manager(chinese, wearing glasses) for the same request, only to have her reply "We can't do that for you. We can only give you our cup and you'll have to pour it yourself, and return the cup for us to reuse." How unhygienic is that? Giving the customers a cup and wanting them to return it afterwards so that they can REUSE it, not putting into consideration that it may be dirty already. Not only that, when the drinks came, I asked them to help me pour it inside my tumbler cup as I was afraid that I'd make a mess on the table. The manager did as told, but poured the drinks inside to the point that it was overflowing as if out of spite. Hope the higher-ups will do something about this horrible service. Never seen anyone coming up with excuses like this(mentioning that they're busy even though the restaurant was almost half empty) just to avoid doing...
Read moreIt was 2pm and place was crowded. There is a long queue at the self-service kiosks and the cashier counter is empty. So I walked to the cashier counter to order. Instead of the taking my order the supervisor or manager manning the counter told me to use the kiosk instead to order.
I told her the queue was long and asked is the the POS down or spoilt? I have to demand twice before she relented. While taking my order, she was still directing customers who came behind me to use the kiosks.
Sorry McDonald, if you want to improve your efficiency you can introduce your machines but they are just too much of a hassle to use. A simple order takes like 5-8 min to complete. If someone is making an order for 3-4 persons it would just take up 10-15 mins and hold up the whole queue.
You can have your machines but do not enforce us to use! We are not robots, we are your paying customers! We want service and not your minions. Why provide table service at the expense of your front line service? Please bring back the smiling uncles and aunties who take our orders, we don't want only machines...
