Prata Raya — Restaurant in Singapore

Have been a regular customer and fan of their food here for the past 1year, but my experience today totally ruin my rating of them to the pit bottom.

Went in as usual and saw a number of customers at front tables sitting down which I assumed that they are either waiting their takeaway or some are food delivery people waiting too. So I stand at the usual spot to wait patiently for my order to be taken.

At that hour (3-4pm), its not crowded and there are empty seats and tables. Behind the counter, 1 staff is making prata and the staff whom suppose to take order is packing (what it seems like) a big order and so I waited patiently for him to be done.

Then two of the aunties initially sitting down which I stated earlier whom I assume are waiting for their orders, started taking a tray plate and picked their indian rojak along the counter area too. I didnt think much, and one of the auntie started queing n waiting beside me with her rojak.

Then the staff packing finally done, and first thing he raised his voice slightly at me "you want to order, you stand at this spot la!" while pointing to the spot behind the auntie holding the rojak. I was taken by surprised and assumed he meant I should be standing behind the auntie, so I said "but I was here very long already!" He said "very long also have to wait what!" He look at the auntie and asked "Who come first?" The auntie pointed at me. Then that staff gave an LL face and said something along "then I take your order la!" as usual with the raised voice and fierce attitude.

I was damn upset by his lousy attitude and service that I told him i"ts OK, I dont want order already!" And left.

Prata Raya, even if you have good food, with your lousy attitude to customers, you can look forward to closing down when more people like me boycott your...

Extremely disappointed with tonight's late dinner. We use to love their menu. Especially in Dec 2022, when they changed the chef who was making the prata, his skill was perfectly good , the kosong pratas were thin and crispy and tasteful. We could taste the little burnt brownish pratas. Missed it very much when tonight we were having the dinner. We were extremely disappointed not only because the temporary chef didn't met the pratas making expectation, the most annoying was they missed our queue after we have been waited for more than 20mins. When my friend went up to them demanding the customers came in after us but had their orders (plain pratas) taken before us. The counter lady with the cap was the one did not pass our receipt to the prata man. After she knew her mistake, she asked the prata man to rush the pratas to cook fast. I knew and told my friend, once there was a rush, the pratas will end up not up to the standard. I was correct, the pratas came out with soggy textures, not crispy with looks like not fully cooked. But my friend did not do anything which I was totally very angry. I took mouth, and flip and flip the prata with no appetite, leftover a whole piece untouched. Just take note, if the prata man is a tall man (not skinny) and the lady with cap, I suggest not to go in to eat. Because your orders will missed queue and the prata man has a very low standard prata making standards, and lousy skills. Totally not worth the penny you...

I am utterly disappointed in the staff way of work. I went to order in advance while I had to pass someone some stuff before I came back a few mins later to wait for my order. As I was waiting close to 30 mins,I did not realise that my order was done way before I came back to the store. I waited for my number to appear on the screen to see if my order is done. But still no. I have no idea why it did not occur to your staff to call out the number again at least to inform that the order is done. I was being respectful by not stressing the staff as it is already full house in there. So I patiently wait until I realise why my number has not been called for so long. So I approach one do the female staff and she hands me my order when I ask for it. I know it might be bad on my part for not asking as it is a peak period. However, it is not harmful to actually ask around who’s order that belong to. Due to that ignorance, I felt the need to write this review just to inform that it is essential to let the customers know if they’re order is done already. On the other hand, it took so long for the staff to take my order. Close to 5 mins.
