Casa Onca Centro — Restaurant in Aguascalientes

Had the most delicious vegan lunch this afternoon at Casa Onca! Thoroughly enjoyed our four different tacos (falafel, chicharron, chorizo and fried mushroom), the mushroom quesadilla and falafel burger. The fries that came with the burger were super crispy and flavourful. Everything was well seasoned, fresh and had great flavour! We also ordered lemonades which were really refreshing and went well with the food! Portion sizes were perfect and the prices are pretty good too. Service was good - food took a little long to come, but we understand that good food takes time. The restaurant has a cute seating area with a fair amount of tables and chairs. Uno de los lugares más antiguos y más inestables, siempre tenemos que adaptarnos a lo que "tienen" y no lo que publican en el menú, la calidad en general ha bajado muchísimo, hace un par de semanas publicaron que habría desayunos desde las 8 AM, a los días llegamos a pedir un desayuno, y estaba abierto pero el mesero nos comentó que no había servicio porque el personal se había ido a la graduación de alguien, no entiendo, si no tienen servicio para qué abren, nos ha pasado muchísimas veces que hacemos pedido por teléfono y al preguntar por las opciones que tienen, porque ya estábamos acostumbrados a qué NO siempre tienen el menú completo, esa vez nos dijeron "si hay de todo" pedimos tres platillos diferentes y al instante nos dicen, "ah de ese no hay, de ese tampoco, no no tenemos" y pues parece que uno va a pedir favores en vez de un servicio de restaurante. El día de hoy volvimos a ir por un desayuno y nos dimos cuenta que está cerrado y que ya modificaron de nuevo su horario. Batallamos en recibir las facturas del servicio, las pizzas están limitadas en horario, después de las 6 ya no "hacen pizza" y en general el servicio ha ido en decadencia conforme pasan los años, tristemente son pocas las opciones veganas en Aguascalientes, y si alguien quiere explorar la comida vegana para intentar hacer la transición, pues lugares como éste desmotivan...

The place serves Vegetarian and Vegan food and tucked in the narrow lanes of downtown. I tried the classical Mexican soup - Tortilla Soup which is a tomato based one and crispy tortillas are added to it. It was quite favorful and yumm.
