Mati's Burger — Restaurant in Bacalar

Walking here you kind off think you’re walking down to some sketchy place. Once there it is a food stand (which by the looks of it, doesn’t have seating). We almost walked further and completely skip it. However, we decided to ask if they have a seat and they whipped out a foldable table and chairs for us to sit down. We then ordered two burgers with some fries and they we’re absolutely AMAZING!

In terms of seating it is not a lovely place but walk past and get the burgers to go and you’ll have a delicious (inexpensive) meal!

As an Australian, I really enjoyed the hamburgeusa and fries. Quickly cooked, tasty and overall, just a good home cooked meal.

The social service from the chef and his wife was enjoyable. The neighbourhood was an additional benefit making the whole experience feel like home.

Was on the look out for a tasty burger and came across this place in my Google search. Checked out the menu and the had hotdogs starting from 39 MXN.
