Comal Restaurant in Cabo is an absolute gem! From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the stunning scenery. The restaurant is perched perfectly with breathtaking ocean views, creating an ambiance that is both serene and luxurious. As the sun sets, the live entertainment enhances the experience, adding a vibrant yet relaxed energy to the evening.

The staff were incredibly warm and attentive, making us feel welcome from start to finish. They went above and beyond to ensure our dining experience was flawless.

The menu is nothing short of exceptional. We started with the Grilled Octopus—perfectly tender and flavorful. For the main course, the Short Rib Barbacoa was an absolute standout, slow-cooked to perfection and bursting with rich, smoky flavors. The Tuna Tostadas are also a must-try—fresh, zesty, and beautifully plated.

To pair with the incredible food, the cocktails were equally remarkable. The Mezcalita de Piña was my personal favorite—smoky, tangy, and refreshing with just the right amount of sweetness. The Comal Margarita is another standout, a sophisticated take on a classic with a perfect balance of citrus and tequila.

Comal is not just a restaurant; it’s an experience that engages all the senses. From the food and drinks to the lively entertainment and unparalleled views, it’s a place you’ll want to return to again and again. Highly...

It's been a long time since I haven't write a review but today I feel the urge to do advise customers coming to Cabo to avoid visiting this restaurant and save themselves from expending a considerable amount of dollars on less than average food. We came on a party of 6 to have dinner and expecting great food at this very well known restaurant call "Comal" I'm a Mexican who lives in both Cabo and mexico city and consider myself an expert on Mexican cuisine. I go very often to the most popular restaurants in both Cabo and mexico city and belive me this is the worst restaurant I been in a long time, food was terrible, service was not to the standard we were expecting. In Mexico City I would have felt robbed if I would have paid $50-60 us dollars per person. And we ended paying $130 dollars pp. I order chicken with mole and it was almost uneatable, my son returned the duck which was over cooked and vegetables were undercooked. Nobody was happy, servings and plating were under average and when the check came it already had a 15% serivice charge which in Mexico is against the law. The place is beautiful but I won't expect to recommend it to no one, please keep your money for better places and don't come to overpriced places like this. Overal experience at Comal...

Updated review - Previously 5 stars!

My friend went to the toilet towards the end of the meal to wash his hands! And accidentally left his iPhone and wallet on the side of the sink with 600$ inside the wallet.

He returned to the toilet less then 5 minutes later and it was gone!

We decided to ask foe cameras and security looking everywhere for it (we were 6 people so you can imagine the intensive search).

After an hour, when they realized that were not giving up and not willing to leave, one of the security guards told the other staff member to secretly return the stuff and he’ll distract us - not knowing we speak fluent Spanish. Suddenly, the staff member came back saying - have you looked there on the toilet (where my friend didn’t even go into). And there it was - the iPhone and the wallet minus the 600$.

The staff ganged on us trying to steal from us! I am still shocked that this would happen in a place...

The food is mediocre at best, there is no special seasoning, cooking style, or ingredients. We got the Red Snapper: the side of quinoa was about half a cup with 5 pieces of spinach and 5 halved cherry tomatoes (enough for a child or toddler) and this was meant for two people. The Red Snapper came whole but was grossly over cooked and the meat was chewy. The worse past is the food was bland, only a little salt and pepper and oil were used but the fish was extremely underwhelming. Please see my picture for the actual prices of the menu; on average I will spend USD $150-$250 for dinner for a couple but this is exceeding my threshold. The price of sides is USD $29-$35 and the chicken breast for two (two pieces of chicken breast) is USD $87. Note that all alcoholic drinks start at $27 but there’s a great deal of $451 for a agave tasting 😂.
