With all of the amazing food around Todos Santo, don't be fooled by this cute location. The food is terrible and over priced.
The blacked tuna was drenched in a disgusting sauce, but the fish underneath was clearly old and questionable so it's hard to decide what the worst thing about this dish was.
The steamed muscles were dry and flavorless. I could not taste any white wine or shallots in the sauce.
The raspberry walnut salad literally had no raspberries or walnuts. Instead it had blueberries, blackberries, strawberries, almonds, and cashews. Think of it as trail mix with old lettuce and cheap generic dressing.
They talk about being a part of the slow food movement, but I guarantee they don't even know what that means. Maybe they're referring to how slowly they walked back from the convenience store with the ingredients.

Read moreFood was good, but not excellent. Atmosphere was pretty good, but for some reason, they were playing elevator type music. we were in the Baja two years ago and I visited Mexico about 15 times. This is the first time where I see a restaurant posting prices that did not include taxes. On top of that, on all of our visits to Mexico in the past tips were always included. So overall, this place is very expensive at about $30 per person if you get a drink. Not including dessert and these are mostly pizza dishes. Over priced in my view, but something good that are locally in Cerritos. Mexico is pricing themselves out of the market in my view and will see less visitors as a result. People deciding to cook in or pick up their own tequila as opposed to going to a happy hour....
Read moreI ordered the Salad Nicoise and a Pacifico beer. The salad was not a nicoise. It was a green salad, with some small boiled potatoes, cherry tomatoes m, red onion slivers and other veggies; fresh broccoli, cauliflower, and was topped with generous amount of seared tuna, of course mostly raw. Nicoise does not usually call for tuna, and not knowing this, I was stuck, because I do not like raw tuna. My mistake.
But in top of that, the bill for beer + salad was for $26.50USD, way out of line.
No wonder there was only one couple there besides me at 6:30 on a Saturday night.
Service was very good, but I do not recommend this place. Other menu prices looked way too high. I would never go back. Dhaka’s Cantina is...
