Jardín Escondido — Restaurant in Baja California Sur

Had an absolutely horrible time here. Went for a New Year’s Eve event with my friends, service was terrible and couldn’t get drinks until well after our second course, their excuse was they did not have glasses (which is ridiculous being a hotel). The event was supposed to be at a nice terrace outside, but they changed it last-minute to a cramped space inside because of the cold (it was not even that cold). Our package included champagne and grapes to celebrate and not only did they arrive way after the eve but they were terrible quality. Food was ok, but they got our order wrong two times. Bathrooms were small, dirty and broken. Extremely overpriced and to top it all off, the waiters tried to charge us double and were very rude when we asked them to check it again. We’ve watched this beach bar restaurant be transformed over the last two years. The food and drinks are better than it used to be, and the new lounge deck is a great spot for watching sunset with a cool vibe. I wish they would serve drinks in glass on the deck. Amazing views! The food was delicious! Service a little slow. We ordered sea food fettuccine and the arachera plate, the pasta was great and well balanced, and the arachera was perfect and tender. The service was a little bit more on the slow side, but our waiter was nice and helpful.
