Ocean front, gorgeous pool areas, beautiful bar and restaurant, horrible service with unexperienced staff, we arrived with a huge group booked with 3 months in advanced. Arrived to the lobby and got the worst lied to news ever! We originally booked 2 rooms with 4 bedrooms for a group of 17. Mind us we did not recieve any call prior to the trip or the day of the trip. The receptionist lies to us and tell us that one of the rooms we booked were sold and that they only have a 3 bedroom available with a jacuzzi and we were basically stranded with no kind of resort in Mexico. We spoke to the manager Joel and he was able to accomadate us to the 3 bedroom and the 4 bedroom house. However this is were it gets MORE horrible we waited hours for us to be able to get in that 3 bedroom. We were exhausted because our flight was early in the morning and we paid for early check in. We did not get that. So JOEL tells us that the other 4 bedroom house wasnt sold but the AC didnt work and there wre no other rooms available. So we get into our homes for the weekend get settled and have reservations for the sunset pizza up on the hill at 8pm. Joel the manager is well aware of it. WELL we arrived to the security to let us in the gate to get up the hill and the security says theres not reservation with that name we told him many times the name and still said no reservation for that name and we decided to leave we get a call from Joel and he says no there is a reservation for that name go back we go back again and again the security gives us the same scenario! and at this point we are upset and leave again! Then the driver of the vehicle which is hotel staff gets a call again from Joel and is told to go back and the security again says what does he want and says that we didnt give him the right name and laughs in our face and lets us go through the gates! This is horrible! what kind of service is that! Thats not it we were discrimanated at the restuarant/bar by the pool telling us we couldnt sit in certain areas because it was exclusively for the members of the hotel. And we were to sit on the beach instead. Also we couldnt wear certain clothing attire in order to go in and order food and drinks. And other parties were going in with the attire we were wearing basic beach wear! Back to the room to enjoy the jacuzzi and its out of commision! maintenance couldnt even fix it. I could say they do have very well appointed rooms. The only thing I can think here is that people are trying to keep this resort a secret. and make it seem like there is no scam or the staff are great etc. But be well aware because when we were picked up on Saturday Joel was very mean and aggressive. We spent a good amount of money at this resort and we were treated awful! BE AWARE THEY GO IN YOUR ROOM WITHOUT PERMISSION TO ENTER ROOM. The AC...

Read morePuerta cortes is a great location to stay. This is my 4th time staying at this location. It’s great for special celebrations, going with friends or family. This place is super clean and property well maintained. It’s super secure and they monitor anyone who enters or leaves the facility. It’s super close to down town but yet not to close to give you privacy. The staff goes out of their way to make you feel special and accommodate your needs & requests. They greet you with fest water/soda or a cold beer. They go out do their way to help you create your vision. Thank you Hector who helped set up private dinner on the beach to watch the sunset and get out of his way to bring his own speaker to play our wedding song while we danced on the sand. Thank you Rene for helping making reservations to local restaurants we wanted to visit & for setting up our activities. Armado or bell boy thank for addressing any concerns or questions we had immediately. It’s always a pleasure to stay at Puerta Cortes and look forward to...
