If you are in Tecate, don’t leave without trying the coffee from Acento Tecate Coffee Roasters. First of all, their coffee comes from other places such as Oaxaca, Veracruz, Chiapas, Guerrero, etc. Second, they have a comfortable outside patio. Perfect place to study or read a book. Third, you can buy coffee beans here. Don’t forget to order a pastry to go with your coffee. You must try their chia lemon cake and oatmeal cookies. Lastly, they are open early in the morning especially on the weekends, and you can pull up in front of the coffee shop for a drive through service.
Their cups are cool as well because the cup displays the iconic places that represent Tecate Pueblo Mágico, such as the park, the fountain, the church, and other local businesses.
I ordered the Vietnamita, which is a mixture of coffee from Veracruz and Chiapas. The flavors of this coffee were amazing that we ordered a second cup to take home. I asked them to replace the milk with lactose free milk. It was topped with cinnamon. We also ordered an American latte. The flavor was a bit sweet yet bold. Prices are extremely fair.
*update: Veracruz coffee is bomb! I bought a second bag this time Chiapas, so I will...
Read moreFantastic coffee roaster and cafe in Tecate. I tried both the Viennese coffee and the lavender latte, both with whole milk. The Viennese was honestly one of the best I’ve ever had, and the lavender latte had a subtle lavender flavor that allowed the roast to shin and not be masked.
The staff were very nice, quick to make the two drinks I ordered, and also happy to help me access their free Wi-Fi. The shop has indoor and outdoor seating, with the back patio being shaded by a large tree.
The building’s exterior and interior have a very cool aesthetic that’s minimalistic yet still vibrant and comfortable. I think this is a must-try if you’re into coffee and are...
