El Paisa is my favorite restaurant by far. They start out with complimentary nacho chips and THREE bowls of salsa and dip.

The carne asada tacos were a hit everytime. They do the cooking out front of the restaurant along the sidewalk, such a cool vibe.

The rice was tasty, the refried beans were great (and the only restaurant that actually served them hot)

They bring out this big tray just for you with 5 compartments of cucumbers, red onions, cabbage (I think) pico and limes.

Two tacos, rice, refried beans, chips, 3 dips, and tray that I described above for $6.00

They make local deliveries constantly. It's where the locals go. It's an authentic experience and it's good! Friendly people, too. Say...

Out of four places I ate at in algodones, this was the best (the other three included a clean but overpriced tourist trap, a disgusting hole-in-the-wall type place where I was very strongly thinking about paying and leaving without eating the food just because everything in that place was so dirty and gross, and then a food truck serving tacos that were good). Birrieria el paisa seems like a restaurant that is run with good standards of cleanliness, it also has incredibly good food at cheap prices. and they give you free chips and salsa! best place I...

Such good food!! We had the pollo and carne asada tostada and the carne asada burrito. Tortillas made on the spot, and delicious. The tray that comes out with your food had everything you could ever need 😍 salsas were good, but would have been amazing if they were mixed together. The green avocado salsa is so light and refreshing with lime and cilantro, truly wish I could have brought a gallon of that back across the border. Everything we had with 2 Cokes...

I ordered my tacos without cheese, and made sure she acknowledged my request. When she brought my food, i noticed they had cheese. I ended up ordering 5 tacos and one coke. The total was $18 +$2 tip i left, and balance was $20. I should of just at back in the states for that price. This is my last place going to Birrieria el paisa for theyre over priced food.
