As guests of the connected hotel (La Estancia Inn), we decided to go to El Mezquite for my birthday. To my surprise, my fiance had called ahead to reserve a table and their best bottle of wine (which ended up being a 2007 for $100 - yikes!). I took my mom and aunt because they told me the food was better than last time I went, so they order enchiladas rojas and what they had was three old and cold tortillas just with a tomato sauce without any flavor and not even deep the tortillas in the sauce this was in the top of the tortillas, my mom and aunt didn't say anything because they don't want me to feel bad about taking them to this "special restaurant". The food was amazing, the service was fantastic, and the atmosphere was authentic and calming. The bathrooms were impressive as well with the design.
