Kumiai Inn — Hotel in Baja California

The hotel is beautiful, modern, and well located. That not the problem. The problem is the hitel staff in particular Emma L. The hotel manager and a waiter at the restaurant. Ee have been there many times without encountering any issues. Its just this I believe his name is Juan Luis that made a point to harrass us while we enjoy the pool and the jacuzzi. He persist in selling us food and beverages which there is nothing wrong with that. We politely told him that we have tried their drinks and food and that it was not of our liking (horrible food and drinks) but he kept insisting that we purchase something, he would just follow us around and it became very annoying , so I went to the front desk and report the details of the situation. The front dest told me that waiter is required to keep asking guest to buy food and drinks regardless of wishes of the customers not to be bothered after you told them that I have tried their food and drinks and had to throw them out, especially the margarita it was bitter tasting. Emma L the hotel manager came out with a raised voice telling us that we are trouble makers instead of listening to us and addressing our concerns. She kept asking what room we where, and intold her the issue is the waiter stalking us. Emma L. Told me that we are the problem, I felt like i was made to be the victimizer and not the victim. I immediately felt that i was not safe at the hotel because of her aggresive behavior and wanted to maintain my physical integrity intact. I told her that i did not feel safe being there, and she immeditely said you can leave and we will refund your money in 2 or 3 days. Emma L called security two burly security guards came and escorded us (paraded us out to our car) as other hotel guest kept asking us what happen. I was deeply humiliated by this ordeal. Juan and the other guard confided innus that Emma L. Is a psychopath and rude amd very aggresive and abusive towards everyone. I got the sense that wveryone is scared of her. We really enjoyed our stay with a few minor exceptions. Unfortunately the TV in our room didn’t work eventhough it was connected to wifi. The phone in the room didn’t work so we had to use our personal phones. The shower head is a rainfall type, but the water sprayed out in all directions instead of straight down which made it a little tricky to shower. The rooms have a system in which the room key is required to have electricity in the whole room. If you take it off, everything turns off. That means you can’t leave things charging unless you get a second key? We also were told that we could check out later the day off, but that was not an option because the hotel was so booked. Even though there were a few icks, it was overall a nice place to stay. The staff are very friendly and respectful. The bed is comfortable, the sheets smell great, the rooms are very clean, and the building is beautiful! It has a 5ft pool and a small jacuzzi (no bubbles) just warmer water than the pool. We didn't get to stay. We just went to have some lunch. The hotel itself is . beautiful and modern, you can choose to eat indoors or outdoors, since it was cold and raining so ofcourse we ate inside, first the dinning hall was really cold, had to ask the waiter to please turn on the heat and even then it wasn't warm, none of us took off our winter coats, that's how cold it was. Second we when the waitress came to get our order, by the fact she was really nice and professional ,after placing our order we ask if we can get some chips & salsa, she stated that they don't serve that. We did get a small taco, wasn't good, then third when our food was served it look good, but once you taste it it was horribly bad, lack of taste no flavor at all, and some of it was so greasy we didn't even eat it, one of our guest got so sick after eating it that he threw up and had a bad stomach ache.
