I was told by some people that the place wasn't that great (I had to experiment myself) but the prices were accessible (true). We got there and it was a nice looking place not gonna lie, but they took forever to take our order, and at some point we thought they had forgotten about us. When they finally got our order (25 min later) they brought us something different than what I ordered, but I believe that this happened because the waiter got distracted with another client that was demanding the supervisor for who knows what (understanding) however I noticed that 2 different people came and asked to see and take our order and stuff (double the work) I asked if they deduct this kind of mistakes to the servers and they did which it's not cool, and decided to help the kid that served us so it wouldn't affect him, I would keep them more organized and focused with specific tables so they don't loose focus and they server people on time and manner. ( I'm a manager myself in case you ask and I've learned the bad way) When they brought us the bill (different waiter) I noticed that they were charging me for the plate I didn't order (which was a few pesos more expensive than what I had originally ordered) and the waiter took it to get it corrected, we were waiting and went to cashier directly and I heard that one of the other waitresses was talking not so nice things about us (don't know why, never gave them a hard time) was saying in a very tyrant that if we didn't want to pay the wrong plate in full that it was fine, that it was only a difference of 10 pesos (which it wasn't true) The point here it was not the money, but the awful experience and the poor waiter. My only advice for the place would be, be more attentive for the customers that eat on the lower areas, and improve the coordination of the personel, and their attitude. And to the first waiter, get another job and get away from this type of people and treatment, even if you do it for the money, you deserve better. We've had better food before, but I understood that is just the hype and location of the place that they sell you there. For other people, there are better options out there with a good atmosphere, vibe, quick attention and delicious food, "El Correcaminos" for example, you...
Read moreWell I didn’t have a great experience in this place it is my first and last time on this place I have been to Valle de Guadalupe many times and I always see this place full of people so my wife and I decided to try it and let me tell you my bad experience everything was going smoothly we check in we only have to wait 20 min to be seated atmosphere felt right pretty hipster vibe then we got seated servers come she took drinks order and they came fast and tasty then she took the order for food and they already run out of some items in the menu’s but not a problem we order the food and then 20 min past by nothing I look around at the other tables they didn’t have food either so was waiting then 30 min past by and I see a lady yelling to the waitress asking where is her food then 40 min past by that’s when I just got really upset and then I gave them 20 more minutes to see if food would show up and guess what my food never show up then I saw they where serving other food to other tables that got sat before us where getting their food that’s when I decide to walk away and never...
Read morethey do a currency conversion with 7% markup US dollars charging without asking my preference, this is not acceptable! They should always ask first! Most US card has foreign transaction fee is only 3% and my Chase Sapphire card is 0% FTF fees, always prefer they charge pesos directly. Food wasn't bad, but the place is inside a hotel and you need to drive dirt road for about 500m off of the paved road 😔
Update: I changed to 3stars because the response they do have a good attitude. It might be true you didn't earn from currency exchange, but that 7% mandatory exchange rate markup do exist and that profit might be earned by whoever is provider of the charging terminal, you need to fix the charging terminal or replace it to not always charge in US dollars, at least you ask which currency preference first?
In addition, I did pay 15% tipping, should be already generous in Mexico, to partially cover the charging terminal, But do not accept additional 7% hidden cost. All cost should be transparent and well...
