If you are in Rosarito, don't miss a trip to Popotla fishing village! (Google under: Popotla, Villa Pesquera y Corredor Culinario de BC )

(there is a duplicate listing, you want to go to the one on the south!)

If you know Porto Nuevo, imagine Popotla is a smaller, more rustic "tourists attraction" that has a beach you can walk on... It has a small fish/seafood market with fresh local catch and many small "eateries" and restaurants.. Many locals come over here to buy seafood and spend the weekend.

There are a few really nice place to go if you are into seafood, just keep in mind, most bigger restaurants get their seafood supply from San Felipe and other places, not locally.

There are a few places that will prepare the the seafood/fish you bought at local market for you! I suggest you walk around, ask questions and explore! You will find many surprises!

Alongside the beach, during the day, you will find umbrellas/seating areas brought and setup by the venders/local restaurants.. Feel free to sit down, order a beer or cóctel and relax, enjoy to cool,(cold) sea breeze if you go at this time of the year. 😅

A word of caution, you might be tempted to drive your suv/4x4 onto the beach like many of the locals do, please don't! The rule is clearly posted by the entrance to the beach.

ps you will find two places the that sells tamales.. try them both! They are different but...
