Indochine — Restaurant in Cancún

Fantastic meal and excellent service, in a wonderfully built location. They were extremely cognizant of the gluten allergy that one of our party told them about when they asked us if we had any allergies, and they took extra care to make sure that what we were ordering would not be a problem. They put things that did contain gluten on the side so that those of us who could eat it had it available. Their staff were very accommodating and demonstrated top quality service.

We had the special which was a chutoro roll that had been seared with a torch and was delicious. We also had the Soft Shell Crab roll, which is often called a Spider Roll, and it was also very good. The dessert was quite exceptional, we had the Yuzu which was a cheesecake ball wrapped in a yuzu shell on top of a yuzu sorbet with some fruit. They put the chocolate strudel on the side as it contained wheat, and I honestly thought that while it was very tasty on it's own, the Yuzu dish was even better without it, so I might recommend asking them to set that aside if you...

I’d give 0 star if I can. This place supposedly fine dining restaurant,however when I made a reservation in advance and left a note that we need a table outside because we have a puppy, we arrived and the hostess told us that there are no tables outside and there’s a waiting list to sit outside, when the dining room is almost empty! When we asked to speak to the manager he said first come first serve regardless our reservation, he was so rude that he told me to go outside in the patio and find a table myself!! Thankfully I acted fast and took the situation to the concierge person Leo who kindly informed the manager it’s his responsibility to find us a table as we requested!! The manager name is Rodrigo, he’s unprofessional in so many levels and not up to Nizuc’s standards and I hope he’ll be removed sooner...

The atmosphere was incredible and the food equally so. We had the tasting menu and the food was second to none, even the chef came out to ask about our experience, nothing but high praise for this place. After our meal, my wife and I both said that this may be the best food we have ever had/will have. The food was insanely good to put it lightly, the food was portioned perfectly, and the food itself displayed perfectly.

I can’t help but highlight the service as well, extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and very social! I find that most “higher end” restaurants have staff that are slightly dismissive, Indochine is not that, the servers are amazing and extremely nice!
