Casa Nicho Heladería y Cafetería — Restaurant in Chiapas

Nice location in the main "tourist street". On the menu you can see pictures of the dishes which is helpful for making a decision. We ordered the bread with tomato and avocado, which was served with a salad at the side, the bread with grilled vegetables and cheese served with crisps and as a sweet dish the hot cakes (pancakes) with vanilla sauce, where we could exchange the grilled banana for the red fruit sauce which was really nice. All in all it was very delicious and the prices are really reasonable for the brunch options. The only things that could have made the food experience even better would be if the side salad came with a dressing and if the cheese on the sandwich had been melted. Also the ice cream can keep up with Italian Gelato, though it is kinda expensive (1 cup for 59 pesos). The scoop was as big as one where you could have chosen two flavors in Italy but here it was not possible unfortunately. All critics mentioned here is really just the cherry on top...

Great service, but the quality of the food we had for lunch was below level, certainly at the premium price for Mexican standards: the bread was not 100% fresh (we could tell it was frozen and then toasted) and the avocado on our toast was absolutely passed its consumption date (we complained and got a fresh avocado). Again great and friendly service. The coffee was excellent as well. But if customers pay a premium price, also a premium quality is expected and that was not the case...

Small, modern espresso and gelato shop, air conditioned just enough. I see people working here on their laptops - probably one of the best places around to do that. There aren’t convenient electrical outlets, and there are only three tables, but I’ve never seen them full during the middle of the day. Not sure about...
