Chapa Carnes & Cantina — Restaurant in Chihuahua

The staff were very attentive and great all around. This spot had been recommended by friends, so my expectations were high. We went right after the lunch hour rush, so the place wasn't packed at all.

We ordered a parillada with tripitas, sirloin, and arrachera. The meats were good.

"Charro" beans were included as a side but had a sour taste to them. Beans with sliced hotdogs in them, nothing special. I think they had gone bad so no one at our party ate them. We never send food back to the kitchen, so we just dealt with it.

My son ordered a burger, which he said was good but later complained his stomach was upset. It was the only meal we had eaten, so I assume it's what made him feel ill.

My friend recommended Chapa for dinner. Since we were a big party, I went ahead and called them to see if they could set up a table for 14, they agreed since we would be arriving soon. This accommodation and gesture from the restaurant was incredibly helpful because we arrived to a table and server that was ready for us. We all had a wonderful dinner, with incredible service. I was shocked to see all of our food come out at the same time. No one had to wait for someone else’s food to arrive. We ordered a parrillada, but I m pretty sure it would have been better if we ordered individually. The order came out fast. That meant they have some meat already cooking. It didn't taste fresh. Like it was sitting. Dry. And I ordered a ribeye. Dry , fatty meat. It's suppose to be marbled. But the fat looked like it been sitting for a while .
