Ochento's Valle Dorado — Restaurant in Ensenada

I never give 1 star but I went there today 15 minutes before they closed explain to them I just spent all day in the hospital because my father-in-law just literally died an hour ago today my family was hungry so I went there to get them all a pizza they told me okay no problem get a pizza. Then the manager came up to me and said oh no sorry we can only give you pasta. My father in law just died no compassion whatsoever. I have been in the service industry before in my life and ever never would have turned down to customer with that situation I understand that they're closing 15 minutes I totally understand that but when someone's father-in-law just died that is on call for and horrible horrible horrible service and again I have never given somebody one star but they deserve one star for their lack of compassion for human life

Do not get the pastas. We got ravioli and fettuccine primavera, ravioli was rubbery and a small serving. Fettuccine had no sauce and was dry, for some reason had dried cranberries, limited actual veggies (spinach and yellow pepper I think was all), and didn't have any cheese despite the description saying it came with parmesan on top. Cocktails were ok, though mojito was on the weaker side. We also didn't get breadsticks, which it seemed like were served to all the other tables upon seating. Not sure if it was because we arrived just over an hour before closing, but we were done before other tables so it shouldn't be an excuse. Very gracious staff. They tolerate me while I fumble through my order in Spanish (or so that’s the language I’m attempting to order in…).

The food is actually pretty damn good. It’s not fussy, just good flavors and they have solid salads. We get the small house - which is still huge all things considered.
