Tacos Tavaré — Restaurant in Ensenada

I stopped here on a whim as I was driving by. It's a simple little stand on the side of the road with the absolute best tacos I've ever tasted. We had the birria, birria with bone marrow, octopus and shrimp, with and without bone marrow, and the smoked marlin. Every taco was better than the last, with all of these incredible smoky, spicy flavors in combinations I would have never dreamed of. They make their own sauces too and they are amazing. There is one sauce that is sweet with peanuts, sesame, and another nut I can't remember that took the octopus and shrimp to another level, but that bone marrow... I'm going to have dreams about that bone marrow until the next time I come here. Oh, and prices, we paid about $3 usd. $45...

What a great little gem in Ensenada. And close to the beach too! So go for a surf and come eat some amazing tacos here. They originally started with Birria, but I was here for the seafood - and I actually went twice in just 3 days it was so good! Definitely try the grilled octopus with bone marrow that is acompanied by this insanely delicious peanut salsa! Definitely one of my favourite seafood tacos I’ve had while in Mexico. Pipe and his comprades were super chill! Very welcoming atmosphere. They also just expanded for more seating space! Look forward to my next visit to Tavaré when I’m back in...

Alright, I have quite a few 5 star reviews but if I could give this place a 6 star review I would. Ensenada is known for its mariscos and tacos de pescado/camaron but this place takes it up a notch with there menu. First off, there pulpo and marlin are a must but you must have there Especial, that's the real ticket! Pulpo, camaron and marlin on a tostada with cheese is my new belly ache.
