Been here twice, really nice experience from riding the panga (boat) to the restaurant to enjoying the atmosphere and amazing views. Drinks, and service are wonderful. I am vegan and they do have vegan offerings, grilled veggies are delicious, order baked artichoke and also the beet salad with no cheese, delicious too. We ordered the veggie burger and was very disappointed. First off no vegan roll so we ordered it wrapped in lettuce and usually when restaurants do this, it's wrapped in iceberg or butter lettuce, but romaine was used and basically there was no real. way to pick this up and eat it. The patty was basically black beans undercooked and had no texture and no taste,, the garnishs and burger additions were not innovative and basically a tomato slice and a raw onion slice. We mentioned this to our wonderful server, she was very respective and stated she would pass this on the kitchen. We want to order the pizza but there is no vegan cheese and we were told we couldn't bring our own vegan cheese or bring our own vegan bun for the burger. We will return in the future for drinks or wine only and perhaps guacamole and an appetizer, until there are more vegan entree offerings. We appreciate the efforts to have vegan offerings but there needs to be...
Read moreI would give this place 3.5 stars. The service was great and the atmosphere is fantastic. We didn't take the water taxi over but that would've made it a fun experience. It was a super easy walk.
We ordered the beet salad and aquachile as appetizers and they were ok. My husband ordered the burger and I got the octopus. Both were just a little off. The burger patty was really round so the center wasn't cooked very well. The fries it came with were decent. I had the octopus and it was also just ok. It came with a weird chile oil sauce that I didn't like. The octopus itself was kinda squishy. It would have been nice if they finished it on a grill for some char marks or something.
If you're staying in the area I'd say give it a shot just for the ambiance. We were the only table there at 5pm on a Thursday night. Not sure if it's just the off season or if we went too early.
Anyhow, it was ok but the flavors...
Read moreThis place is beautiful, however, we were treated rudely because we didn’t have a reservation, the gentleman at the entrance let us in and said it was ok without one, well when we got in to order, they took our drink order and proceeded to take our food order, the waitress taking the order said since we didn’t have a reservation, we couldn’t order anything we wanted from the menu, we then proceeded to get up and walk away, they should have explained that from the beginning and we could have gone else where, then the waitress said we had to pay for the drinks we hadn’t even received yet, she charged us $50 US dollars for 6 drinks!!!! When we told her we hadn’t even received the drinks and why should we pay, she said, “you already ordered them!” We felt discriminated and degraded and to top it off, the drinks were horrible, it tasted like tequila and water!! Don’t waste...
