Never have I felt that a 1-star review was more justified than this. I get it, people want to have an impact, but let me explain... The first issue we run into is some old school mentality around dress code; which I didn't even see posted anywhere. I was turned away for wearing a sleeveless dinner sweater, however throughout our dinner, we saw several other patrons in little more than a roll of tin foil (which was super cute). Next, after I changed my top, we placed an order for 2 old fashioneds. I'm not really sure what came out, but it took so long, I didn't care. My partner wanted their drink fixed, so they offered to bring them something else. He ordered a beer off of their menu, but was brought something completely different, again after a long wait. The waiter came by to ask if we were satisfied, so we explained what we had ordered, and what we received. He brought over their manager, who asked the same thing, and apparently expected us to waive it off with a smile. We didn't, so he awkwardly walked away. For the next 30 minutes, we weren't sure if our order was put in, but our appetizer finally showed up. The rib eye crackling was pretty good, but luke warm and a little dry. The combination of the avocado offset it, though. After another 45 minutes of wondering if our dinner order was put in, since nobody was acknowledging us after the awkward engagement with the manager, we were able to at least confirm our order was in. Dinner finally came out, and while the ribs and Casa Blanca Chicken were hot, the rice and veggies were cool. Overall, a decent presentation. Getting our check wasn't a problem, when it was time to go, And they made sure to let us clearly know that tips could not be included in a...
Read morePart of all inclusive with Krystal Hotel, Bogarts has only one choice- set menu. Food servings were small, food was overly salty. Main course was 2 very small rolled up pieces of chicken (Suchi style) very dry, vegetables were raw, tablespoon of potatoes was bland & dry. Desert was a tasteless coloured geletin. The violin player was playing same tunes over & over from previous set. All recorded songs played over with violin. OMG! They really need to have their staff speak a little English- at least translate menus to English! Interesting Casablanca interior theme, really needs to have floors cleaned and some renovations to keep the place up as it is starting to look run down. Would not eat here as part of the all inclusive “deal”. They have a menus that appears to have a few more options if you feel more...
Read moreNever once have I ever regretted giving a restaurant a chance. From the time we walked up all the cared about was a reservation , then told us our attire wasn't aloud when you have women coming in a piece of tin foil dress ( we were in sleeveless sweater and nice jeans) to the horrible service from the manager, to the very mediocre food. I went to this place years ago and I will never return. Being in the middle of the hotel district you might want to consider getting you service and manners in check. To all of the LGBTQ DO NOT VISIT THIS...
