For someone who is a brown-skinned Hispanic, I, along with my brother and my mother were treated like "poor people." Let me explain; first, they put us on a table NEAR THE RESTROOMS, and no, we did not choose to be near them. They seemingly had more tables where it was a little better, so we asked them if we could get one; they told us that they will see, but they never gave us a response after that. Then, everyone at my table was sure about what we wanted. We ordered two steaks, salmon linguini, a mushroom cream, half a bottle of wine and two caprese salads. The waiter asked TWICE if we wanted to get two steaks instead of one. This was very disrespectful since we were completely sure about what we wanted. I would understand if he asked us once, but twice is something ridiculous. The food was tasty, and we had a good time even if we were eating in the bathrooms. Hopefully, the waiter was not there to give us a bad time. After we ate our dinner, we chatted with some of the waiters, and they treated us a little better and we talked about how I live in the US and wanted to spend time with my mexican-born family. After that, we got our stuff done, paid with no problems, and gave the waiter a not-so-deserved 200 pesos tip so he would stop judging on looks. I'm planning to go back someday and see if the treatment they give us is a little better, but for now. They will LUCKILY...
Read moreThe manager’s welcome to this unassuming little place on the main was very friendly and ensuring. We shared the fried calamari and the salmon carpaccio to start, which were copious and tasty. We each had the prime rib which was extremely disappointing, from receiving the ordered temperatures mixed (we later had to figure out who had who’s). The horseradish sauce, and the creamy spinach side were tasty and well executed but the asparagus, which were listed on the menu as a side) were missing. We voiced our concerns to the server and the manager came and talked to us. The waiter interrupted the conversation twice in a rude manner. We weren’t offered anything to make up for the terrible 400$ dishes we received. Manager’s excuse was that they had a very busy night which is never a good excuse in a good restaurant. We wish they’d take more accountability for their product, particularly considering their price range. A very disappointing...
