Suntory Acapulco — Restaurant in Guerrero

Treated like a second class citizen by the hostess on Sunday, August 25th at 5:20 pm. Told my wife there were no tables available, while trading dirty looks with her coworker. She repeatedly told us there were no seats available and that we would have to sit outside. Tried to seat us at a table that already had a large group eating immediately next to us. There were around 10 other tables completely vacant. I had to ask to specifically sit at another open table.

Its unfortunate because my waiter was a very attentive and a nice man. He provided great service. Regardless, I would still avoid making the recommendation to my colleagues and friends to try Suntory based off my experience. I having been visiting Acapulco for 45 years. I went to this restaurant for the first time on Monday April 10th 2023. I found the food boring and the staff unfriendly. There were children running around making lots of noise. And the final draw was when THEIR payment machine did not work, the waiter unbeknownst to me... went to get the the manager! Who then came over screaming loudly that my card did not work to the whole dining room and he seemed ready to call the Federales. I stared at him blankly and said quietly try it again and it worked (of course) Awful place! I have no idea how it has survived for so long. Better sushi and grilled food anywhere in Acapulco than here! WASTE of money.

UPDATE: THE RESTAURANT TOLD ME TO REACH OUT SO THEY COULD MAKE IT RIGHT. BUT THEY NEVER REPLIED TO MY EMAIL!

The management at this restaurant need to learn about mask exemptions. Because they are clearly affected by wearing the mask all day everyday. They cant think clearly at all. The restaurant was basically empty and they sat us directly beside a full table of drunk and loud people. They started to be disrespectful and come up to us and say offensive comments.
