Off the beaten track but worth the half-block trip up the block from the main road in the west side of the island. Nicer setting than many places, up on the second floor. Not a huge menu, but decently varied. Friendly and helpful service. Cheese empanada to start, and a chicken burrito as the main. The empanada was good and probably fresh, I could have done without the sour cream and lettuce on top. The chicken burrito was big and not closed like a burrito in the U.S., but still manageable to eat. Again I could have done without the lettuce inside. It had a spread of black beans, nice rice, the side of guacamole was tasty, fresh, and very limey, and they brought little dishes of both spicy and not spicy salsa. The agua de Jamaica was refreshing—a tall glass with what seemed like cane sugar at the bottom. Order it without ice if you need that, although I didn’t.

Super happy that I found this hidden gem in the locals area of Isla Mujeres. I got the alhambre with arrachera (skirt steak) with a Paloma cocktail. The dish also came with a small bit of guacamole. Food was phenomenal with high quality ingredients and much flavour. Even the tortillas were amazing. They give you three sauces, which were okay and not that spicy. I preferred the grilled half like that they provided. The restaurant has some cool decor but was a bit dead on the Monday night when I went. Didn't take away from the food and the service which was attentive but not overbearing. Highly recommended.

Went here for dinner around 7, it’s a bit hidden so look for a red two story home, the restaurant is located on the second level/rooftop. It’s a beautiful restaurant, the service was great. They do only speak Spanish, but they are very understanding and welcoming. Some of the best food we’ve had on the island, the flautas were amazing. The tacos tuétanos were also very good. Everything is homemade and delicious. The mojito was very refreshing. I highly recommend you try this place!

Was recommended to this place by some ex-pats. Great Mexican food, friendly service, and the price is right compared to many of the places in the more touristy part of the island. My tostada was only 30 pesos...why not throw one in with my tacos? In 3 visits, I got Pastor tacos, a tostada, a mocajete, and a burger. They also had fried chicken sandwiches that looked good as well as good seafood my family got but I didn't try. The dining area is a nice covered, but open on the sides open area. They even asked if i wanted to wait or if they should deliver when I walked in a take out order. Only downside is that the kitchen has limited staff, and so if they are busy, you might wait for main courses to arrive. I did fail to get a picture...
