The drink, food and setting would get five stars from my visit. Unfortunately, with the excessive volume of the live music and the grossly undertrained server, I've got to lower it to three. Those can be fixed with time. But focusing on the positive, I had my first taste of Mexican craft beer here, a beautifully-balanced pale ale from the local Corazon de Malta brewery, served on draft. The pictured menu item is their signature stuffed burger, flanked by onion rings on top and a grilled portobello mushroom on the bottom. The ground beef patty itself surrounds a core of molten cheese; mine, with blue cheese. The six-inch tower is a fantasy for ones eyes and a carnival for ones taste buds, the deconstruction of which took almost a half-hour. And the attractively-landscaped garden surroundings are the perfect setting. Now if we could only get the server - who had excellent English skills and a very pleasant smile - to actually do something she said she'd do, it'd be great. Maybe she just couldn't...

Always a good experience! Love the venue with with it's inside and outside layout full of vegetation and interesting decor. Super fast and friendly service. Live music is always enjoyable here, plenty of dancing folks.
Pina Coladas were pretty good.
Potatoes and cheddar soup (I think?) Was delicious, one of the best soups we've had. Minestrone was good also. Spinach dip was tasty but the chips were too hard/too wet maybe? Something off about them anyway.
Vegetable Pizza was one of the best pizzas I've had in Ajijic, loved the really fine cheese on top and ingredients. Cobb Salad was great, with large chunks of blue cheese, huge pieces of grilled chicken.
Apple pie with ice cream was delicious, had a different crust than I'd seen before and was almost a...
Read moreI'm new to Ajijic and I try a different restaurant almost every night. There are exceptions and I visit some more than once. Adelita's has been one of those (4 times) and a mixed bag for me. I'm not giving it a "1 star" but tonights dinner was only that. My previous experiences were better so I'm giving "1 stars". I arrived late for Ajijic at 7:30 PM, so I ordered simple. A hamburger and fries. The menu reads grilled to perfection! Ha, grilled to death was more like it. To make matter worse the French fries were twice cooked and hard as rocks. A disgusting meal. Even the bun seemed old. I might go back, but not for awhile. They did, to their credit noticed my mostly untouched plate and took the meal off the tab. Charged for a margarita which was pretty good. So that I...
