Their food is mediocre at best, overpriced, and service is slow to non existent. We had reservations and were waved to a table, not even taken to it with menus. After 15 minutes we had to wave someone down to get menus. Two other tables were sat after us and they were shown to their table and given menus straight away. We then had to wave someone down to take our order. We placed out order all at once, drinks and food. After 40 minutes of being there we received our appetizer. The appetizers were not seasoned well and cold. While half way through the appetizer we finally received our first drinks and our meals came at the same time. I had the special and it was again underseasoned and cold. We paid our tab and left as everytime we mentioned the poor service and food to the staff the could not have cared less. We will...

(REVISED REVIEW JUNE 2023) I have been Craving Oysters and we were staying in tonight. I used good old faithful Traitte Delivery Chapala and decided to order from la Paceña. My last 2 orders from them resulted in a very bad review I left them on Google since I do leave reviews. I figured with their re do..I wanted to give them a redo..Im so glad I did. The Oysters were amazing. Grilled perfect with a tasty sauce with bits of bacon and no grit. The cleanest Oysters I've ever had. The Other star was these Torito de Cameron. OMG...Its a Chile Releno stuffed with diced shrimp and then fried. It came with Flour tortillas with griddled cheese, Pico and a Sweet Cole slaw. The combo was stunning. Crisp, Sweet, Salty, and Spicy(I added chapala hot sauce). These were amazing! (Re did my original review) Thank you Fred...

Went for lunch, was so impressed and saw they were having live music later so we went back for dinner!

Starting with the drinks: Strawberry margarita was delicious, tropical gin and tonic was really good, so was normal margarita, and bloody mary.

Appetizers: loved the mal de amores, never had anything like that before. But the real star of this place is the sampler platter, I could probably eat this every meal, every day. It's got tuna, rice cake, avocado, crab, seaweed ... Just all the things. We got this for lunch and dinner. Shrimp torito was fine, but not in the level with everything else we had.

Entrees: fish and chips was good, but the shrimp enchiladas were excellent, that's what I would recommend.

Live music was great, and I've not been anywhere in the pandemic that took as many...

SIMPLY WOW.... Exceptional Quality, holds comparison to any great food establishment worldwide. The sushi, the presentation, the taste, one of Ajijic's best. There is nothing on this menu that isn't great. The service is attentive. The atmosphere + decor, its OK, it could use a little Love, maybe some large lush plants, perhaps some TLC refreshing but seriously, the food is so bloody fantastic, I dont think anyone gives a damn about the plastic chair, crushed rocks on the ground or walls created of cage material. Don't allow how it looks to turn you away from seriously one of the BEST MEALS U WILL EVER HAVE. 👍😘❤️
