CARNES ASADAS DE LA TORRE Alcalde — Restaurant in Jalisco

This is a close-to-home option for my wife and me. We go when we want really good steaks at a reasonable price. They give you a typical Mexican starter plate before you order guacamole, chips, whole carmelized onions, beans, and 4 salsas which is complementary. I usually order the vacio or arrechera which are big, juicy and not over-cooked at 3/4s. My wife gets the T-bone, or the pollo a la plancha and they also are not overcooked or dry (which has been an all too common problem for me in many Mexican restaurants of all price ranges). They do over-salt for my taste but again very common here. The service is good not great. Meaning that at some point you will have trouble getting anyone's attention. But again very common in nearly all GDL restaurants of any price range no matter how many staff vs customers. The total price for 2, plus a few beers is usually about $325 + tip not including dessert. They accept credit and debits or cash. They have on-site parking. Really good tasty and fast, if you want. We generally spend less than 45 minutes there if we have somewhere to go after....

Una estrella es mucho 🤬 nos sirvieron la carne fría , le pregunté al mesero si tenían café ☕️ y me dijo que no ... le pregunté si tenían algo calientito para tomar y me dijo que pepsi u horchata al tiempo 🤬🤬🤬 . se tardaron mucho para traer la cuenta , la tuve que pedir dos veces .🤬 Muy desagradable el lugar . Les pregunté si tenían wifi y dijeron que si , a uno le pregunté la clave a y me dejó esperando , ya no regreso . 🤬 y el otro dijo que no se la sabía .🤬 Ohhh , y uno de los cocineros estaba comiendo en el area donde preparan la comida y se estaba chupando los dedos . 🤮🤮🤮🤬🤬🤬 NO RECOMIENDO ESTE LUGAR !!! 👎🏿👎🏿👎🏿👎🏿👎🏿👎🏿 * Esta mucho mejor el restaurante que está en calle Alcalde . Tuve una mala experiencia la última vez que fui, una es anécdota: llegué y pedí una cerveza con nombre de océano y me dijeron, no hay solo modelo, ok, tráeme una modelo por favor... y se tardaron, vuelvo a preguntar por mi cerveza y me responde otro mesero: ahorita llega es que fueron a comprar... y yo, pues si fuero a comprar porque no compraron una pacifico. La siguiente es que una carne en su jugo lleva tocino y ándale qué la mía no traía, pregunto por tocino y me dicen: no tenemos, es que el proveedor no ha venido. Yo supongo que conseguir tocino en gdl es igual o más difícil que conseguir caviar. En fin, hablo del servicio deficiente y falta de ingredientes básicos, ojalá haya sido solo un mal...
