We’ve been coming here for years but been away for 2 years and this place just gets better and better. It’s worth a visit for the coffee even though that’s not its main draw card. We just had the best coffee since coming back. Now we also find an incredible new pastry with a difficult name to pronounce. ‘kouign Amann’ Don’t say it, just eat it! Simply perfection. Gran Pan is my favorite Guadalajara bakery. I often walk there in the morning for a pastry and/or a cappuccino. Their cardamom roll is absolutely wonderful and very like what you find in Scandinavia. Their Kouign Amann is also a winner. Gran Pan has strong community support. People of all ages, men, women, families, and mothers and their children are in and out for bread, pastries, and drinks. Es sin duda una de las mejores panaderías sino es que la mejor de todas en la ciudad. Antes de abrir nuestro restaurante, visitamos la mayoría de las panaderías que manejan masa madre y fue una búsqueda exhaustiva pero valió la pena ya que al final el Gran Pan fue la que más nos gustó. Tienen una gran variedad de pan dulce que elaboran con diferentes tipos de pan del mundo, Francia, Suecia, EEUU, y muchos más. Mis favoritos son el Cruffin relleno de crema de café, la trenza de Cardamomo y la galleta de Avena, azúcar mascabada y chocolate son una delicia. De masa madre sus hogazas, braguettes, pan de caja, los bolliots de mantequilla para las hamburguesas, todo se adaptó perfecto a lo que buscábamos. Además de que el personal que te atiende siempre está de buenas, si tienes alguna duda de que es cada pan ellos te explican. Y así como lo dice su eslogan “Pan de verdad” se siente la diferencia porque manejan materias primas de una calidad muy alta.
