Whether this place doesn't really need the business or the owner of this restaurant doesn't care to teach his/her employees the meaning of the word courtesy, either way our experience was not a positive one. None of the employees smile at any the restaurant guests, as if the employees were doing the patrons favors. Upon being seated, the waitress came over, and without any greeting or some kind of introduction, and literally tossed two salad plates on the table. The waitress works along with/in partnership with 3 other waiters in that section (none of which had the hint of a smile on their faces either). That was weird but the worst is yet to come. We had to call one of the waiters after 10 min of passing by and ignoring us to give them our food order. The waitress was taking the order and felt bothered by us asking a couple of questions about the plates they serve (it wasn't as if she was overwhelmed with the people seated to eat, she had ample help). I asked for a beer with glass. The beer was delivered without the glass and had to ask for it two more times before one of the waiters brought it "with an attitude"! My wife and I were NOT begging for the food and are paying customers but did not feel that way at all. Well, the food was delivered and by that time I asked for another beer (two beers is my limit and I do like to enjoy them in a "glass".) Guess what, NO GLASS again. Throughout the entire meal (which I might add was mediocre food at best) we did not have anyone ask us anything regarding our food or whether or not we needed anything else, nothing! When I called for the check, the same waitress brought over her credit card machine. She had the gulls to ask us how much "propina" we like to add to the total. Both my wife and I (out of frustration) said "nothing" simultaneously. We did however leave a tip, on a clean napkin, in the check tray, a whole ONE PESO, the amount these servers deserve. So for the food, I rate this place a 2 and for...
Read moreI really wanted to visit this place because how beautiful it looked from outside. The decoration is what actually attracted me here.
To be honest the food was good, it wasn't amazing but good and the ambience was amazing. The decorations are really beautiful and it has a very warm and cosy atmosphere.
Even though this place is priced on the higher, I felt the waiters were rude. They were just trying to serve food or pick up plates passing between me and my boyfriend and wouldn't even say "excuse me".
Their response was very bad, we had to wait 20-30 minutes for someone to even take our order. They might be overworked due to a lot of customers visiting but this should not be an excuse. The waiters always seemed to be in a hurry and a few responses to some questions we asked was very blunt and rude. Whereas there was a manager keeping an eye around all this while when we were dining.
I didn't know that rude behaviour came on the menu with food. I dont mind paying the price for food, but the bad staff behaviour is unexpected specifically where in Mexico you see everyone so nice, friendly and lovable.
I wouldn't come back to the place given the attitude of the staff but if that doesn't matter to you, the food was good enough to...
Read moreThe place is not ok. Unless you like bad lighting and having extra drinks you never had added to your bill. The ribs turned up at the table still cool at the bone, it is one thing to pre cook the ribs, it is another thing to refrigerate them for who knows how long? And it is pathetic to then send them (all four ribs!!!) to the table not even heated through and smothered in sickly sweet cheap sauce bought at Walmart.
Really poor value for money.
There were seven of us eating, not one person said the food here was good.
I tasted someone's arrachera It was so heavily salted it was barely edible.
The owner, or manager, spent the whole afternoon sitting at tables talking to customers. His time would be better spent in the kitchen supervising the staff and encouraging them to do basic things like make sure the glassware and cutlery is clean or showing them how to make a real bbq sauce.
This place is no better than a street taco stand. And in some ways...
