The Wok Place — Restaurant in Jalisco

First visit we had a good experience. Our bill was missing 2 drinks, we did the right thing and told the waitress and she took it back to the bar. They added the drinks but not the additional charge. We again told the waitress, she finally corrected it and we gave a gratious 20% tip. Tonight we stopped in for drinks and an appy. Ordered 2 margaritas and summer rolls to share. Our appy arrived in 20 minutes. Never got our drinks after waiting an hour. Couldn't get the attention of wait staff. The place was not full. Numerous patrons were having difficulty getting service, getting their own menus, going to the bar to get drinks. Such a shame this restaurant has consistently bad service. It has good food, great margaritas if you can get one. Too many better places to bother with...

If you don't know it's there it's a bit hidden, up the stairs through a florist shop. Great atmosphere and the food is delicious (although my pineapple fried rice could have used a lot more pineapple!) Unfortunately with only 3 tables occupied while we were there we saw another table get severed before we did. They arrived after us and received their food before ours had been started, two top versus or four top, the other occupied table was also a two top. Again great food, and friendly service but overall not how it should have been done..we should not have had to wait as long as we did..

*The owner is the cook and only the kitchen staff other than a server, while we were there. 3 out of 4 in my group ordered the same dish (Shrimp Pad Thai), I ordered the Chicken...

I really liked this place. Asian food, and yummy. Good wine prices. And it's a nice change of pace from the typical mexican or seafood options in town. You can see the chef working, and you can taste that he knows what he's doing. And people are friendly (if somewhat...
