Sonora Grill Juriquilla — Restaurant in Juriquilla

The food was extremely delicious and the service was awesome as well. No one in our party spoke Spanish, but our main waiter spoke English and they had English menus. The atmosphere of the restaurant is also very nice. They have several firepit areas, and it is semi open-air, as seems to be common in this area. We ordered 3 plates of tacos and the Kobe wagyu beef for 4 people to share, and this was more than enough food. The beef comes on a hot block of salt, and they also gave us 4 different kinds of salt (smoked salt was delicious, truffle salt also good). The wagyu beef is the most expensive item on the menu, I believe, but the tacos were extremely cheap, so overall the price of the meal was very reasonable for the amount and especially quality of food we received. Low quality steak, terrible service. The creamed spinach was the only thing I enjoyed. I asked the server for recommendations, ordered my steak medium rare, received a wedge shaped ‘chunk’ that was overdone on the thin end and underdone towards the massive edge of fat and gristle).

Service was nonexistent after I eventually received my food although servers routinely grouped to stand around - it wasn’t that busy. My Spanish is quite sufficient to respond servers, so no language barrier excuses please.

It seems to be hit and miss - I had read some good reviews but wish I had filtered and read the bad reviews too before I went - there are plenty of those as well. A truly disappointing...

Súper decepcionada, somos clientes muy frecuentes en sucursal Puerta La Victoria y que gran diferencia, se nos ocurrió festejar un cumpleaños en el de Juriquilla y esto pasó:

El mesero bastante de mala gana Atención súper mala y muy lento Quise dejar a mi bebé en área de niños ya que aquí no me ofrecieron ni un libro para colorear como en la otra sucursal siempre lo hacen, entro y me dice la srita. Qué edad tiene? Hasta los 2 años no puede dejarla aquí sola, le dije ok no hay problema me quedo un ratito aquí con ella y me contesta que yo NO puedo estar ahí tampoco En el Menú de niños siempre me ofrecen agua inmediatamente y gratis, aquí no me ofrecieron nada y al yo pedirla, obvio se me cobró. (No está mal pero creo que todas las sucursales deberían ser iguales para ya saber) Para este momento llevábamos más de $8,000 de cuenta e iba para largo, a la cumpleañera le llevaron unos roles de canela de regalo pues son sus favoritos, pedimos permiso de consumir un par ahí (íbamos a seguir consumiéndoles muchas horas más, se notaba pues ya estaban pidiendo alcohol) para esto pedimos digestivos y cafés y varios postres aparte. A lo que el mesero nos contesta NO SE PUEDE CONSUMIR DE FUERA, SI LOS ABREN LES COBRAREMOS $500 DE DESCORCHE POR PERSONA (si, de descorche hahaha como si fuera vino) que poco criterio, déjales comer 2 roles de canela y tus clientes van a estar felices y seguirte consumiendo. Se lo comentamos al gerente e igual de jetón, nos comentó lo mismo.

En fin, nos quedaron 0 ganas de regresar a este lugar. Evítense el mal gusto, les dejamos más de $10,000 que hubiera preferido dejar en otro lugar con mejor servicio y atención a...
