10/10 - Try this place out. I will return every time I'm in Merida.
Best meal I've had in Merida - and I've been in town for two weeks. The flavors were great, the service was great... I only wish I had visited sooner.
Be certain to note the operating hours - opens early and closes early. I made a concerted effort to break away from work and enjoy a late lunch of the Wednesday special of Poc Chuc and a Sopa de Lima.
The meat of the Poc Chuc was perfect to eat as it's own piece or as an addition to the tortillas that come with the special. The Lima soup was nice and even on a hot day I didn't feel overwhelmed with heat.
Hands down the best I've experienced in Merida. Congrats to the wonderful owners and staff for creating a wonderful neighborhood destination for authentic Yucatan dishes.
I hope this helps. If you are looking for Merida food options I have left several Merida food reviews you can see...

Their menu is rather small and not all dishes are available each day, and all meals are said to be cooked in advance so you can't ask for slight amendments to recipes (my mom has low salt diet). That's where I should have alarmed about freshness...
