We were there at the evening before the Mexican independence day and had a reservation. It's a bit of a hidden gem. From outside you wouldn't think there is proper gastronomy inside, it's almost not visible and it took us a while to find thr entrance, but the interior is 5/5. Stylish, clean, tidy. Well air-conditioned but not too cold.
The first impression was good. A normal welcome. Special offers were 3 mezcals or tequilas for the price of 2. Well, not spectacular.
The food menu itself is okay. Not too many dishes: starters, grilled meat, pizza, pasta, burgers, salads and some desserts. We had a pizza and a salad. Nice drink list but a bit pricy for Mexican circumstances. They offer Montejo, Modelo Especial and Tecate among other beers. The first three beers we asked for were unfortunately not avaliable. What a coincidence. Why don't they have a smaller menu but things avaliable? Menu 3/5
The Greek salad was alright, more or less fresh and the chicken breast okay. Grey dressing, but okay. 3/5
The pizza was made in the forno al legna, as Italians say, so with wood. That's a plus. Although we were the only guests, it took around an hour until the pizza was ready. Not acceptable. Besides - maybe as they had nothing else to do - there were sometimes 4 people standing around the oven... At the end a girl who seemed to be the pizzaiola took care of it. She was always playing with a pink smart phone while waiting and then she was touching the crust of the pizza in order to check if it's already well baked. That's a no go. We thought about claiming it but were too hungry and not in a fighting mood as we had experienced that Mexicans are quite sensitive for criticisms, so we didn't eat the crust and didn't care too much. We are aware that a pizza is made with hands. Yes. But is it necessary that a pizza is being touched with your fingers after playing with your smartphone right in front of the guests who are watching you? What sense makes a mask when you act like that?
The taste of the pizza was really good. Great garlic composition. The ingredients seemed fresh and not too cheap. The crust was crunchy. Taste 5/5, almost Italian, preparation was a 3/5
Music: understandable that they play even cheesy and romantic Mexican music on that day. So far, so good. But they play music with youtube and sometimes switch the song during the video which is displayed on maybe ten screens at the same time in the bar. It's improfessional and a lack of good management if things like that happen that often. Moreover the music and the video sometimed did not match. 2/5
Price level: a bit upmarket. A pizza with 4 ingredients for 290 is pricy - but the value for the money is definitely okay.
The whole visit was good altogether. The bathrooms are really clean. Nice towels. The waiters more or less paid attention and tried to do a professional job.
Overall it's a clear and fair 4/5.

Read moreMy husband and I have been planning a visit for some time, and finally made it last week. I'm so sad that we took so long because this place is AMAZING! The food was top tier and delicious. The fusion of flavors was so intentional and worked so well. (Order the salmon!!!) The music was awesome, as was the service we received from Carlos! They even impressed me with the drinks. I have a particular way I like my cocktail, and they crushed it for me. The owners were very friendly and welcoming also. I couldn't find anything whatsoever to complain about. LOL! The pricing is perfectly aligned with the quality of the food and the experience. We are looking forward to returning with our friends in a few days. Gracias...
