Los Trompos | Buenavista — Restaurant in Mérida

We are fortunate to live between two of Los Trompos' locations. We alternate between the two. Why do we keep returning? Simple - they consistently provide a great meal at a fair price. Each time we go, I try something new, and I have really enjoyed everything I have tried! A few days ago, I tried the Nachos with chicken. It came with some side items - the rolled up thing I think was a Parmesan crisp but rolled up. Hmm, I like Parmesan cheese a lot, but not with nachos. I didn't eat the pork sausage because I don't eat pork, but the boiled potatoes were good, and I enjoyed the Nachos. The portion (like always) was generous! We...

This location was the first place I ever experienced tacos here. 10 years later I visited it with a friend... Wow has this place changed. The interior is exactly the same. However the staff were very separated for us. Several requests went unanswered and one mesero completely ignored my guests requests and never returned.

It was a great memory and still my daughter's favorite spot.... The bathrooms and the smell in the waiter station near them was alarming to me. I have worked with EcoLab in the city of Chicago. Sanitation is crucial in commercial spaces preparing food.

Food was delicious but got me sick. Not sure if they use the same oil over and over or how did I get sick. What I do know is that this was my only food yesterday when I arrived into merida after 24h traveling where i only had bottled water and a piece of bread So definitely there was something in the food these tacos that did not sit well with stomach. My sister who is more local did not get sick. I would still go back and give it a second try because of the flavour and amazing service. The place was also very clean with high standard...
