I've eaten here 5 times now and this is one of my favorite authentic restaurants in all of Mexico. I really enjoy the atmosphere, and music. I barely speak Spanish, but the staff is happy to work through it with me, and someone there usually speaks half English or better anyway. Very friendly. It's priced really cheaply for the quality of restaurant that it is. If this was down the street on Passeo Montejo it would be packed and overflowing with people, and they'd be selling everything for 3 times as much. Just take a short walk after you visit Monumento a La Patria and you'll get the same quality of food for much cheaper. My favorites were the vampiros and pambazos especially the mole chicken. The Quesadillas are delicious with the blue corn mass. The fabled Tostada de Pato was ok but nothing to rave about. I want to go back and try the pozole and sopes. They only had two beers in stock, Pacifico and Corona.
The server forgot to order us guacamole. All outdoor seating so go eat in the evening this time of year. And make sure the server gets the...
